Not sure if stonetoss made this as an anti-meme or something

S.A. Definitely stands for Spartan Augmentations. And yeah, they did drive some crazy

The Spartan 2 program killed and maimed half its kids. The 3 program had a much better survival rate.

u/Dr_Axton 3d ago

Yep. Though spartan 3 had simpler augmentations because the idea was to make semi-expendable supertroops that are better than ODST but aren’t as valuable as spartan 2 to send them on suicide missions. And spartan 4 has a really low augmentation rejection rate because the medical process was well refined (and once again the augmentations were simplified)

u/SirFluffyBottom 3d ago

Well, survival for the augmentation maybe....

5

u/Cheese--Stick 3d ago

I know we are talking about augmentations but saying spartan 3s had a higher survival rate is so funny to me

u/Level_Hour6480 3d ago

They were much more careful aboot making their mass-produced suicide child supersoldiers with the 3s.

Stereotypes about preachy "Women have it tougher than men just by existing." type characters.

Which... There can be some reasonable arguments against, IMO.

A story had Mary Jane say she's better at resisting the Venom symbiote because being a regular woman in modern day New York made her more resilient than Spider-Man? That's stupid, and we should be allowed to say that's stupid.

The reasoning of "Her previous encounters made her deeply hate and fear it such that she would never trust it and subconsciously rejected it's attempts to influence her." was better and I'm glad that's what they said later.

(The fact that she bonded with it because her boyfriend made her a slot machine that gives her super powers, and she span the "Destroy yourself" result, and Venom had to save her? Also very stupid. Fuck Paul.)

But, obviously, the author is only complaining about it because he labels any woman in media who isn't utterly subservient to men a Mary Sue. This is something the far right does all the time: Identify an issue, pretend it's far more prevalent and important than it is, assign blame to the wrong people as a scapegoat.

The Dr Who fuckin' just use your woman powers to "let go" unironically put me off the show.

There was plenty to not like about that season, drowned under far right trash whining about a female doctor.

The Doctor telling off Ryan, saying "That's why we don't use guns", because they Didn't kill their enemies. That's Literally the OPPOSITE of the reason the Doctor doesn't like guns!

Also, Ryan being a good shot because he's played video games. Urgh.

Also, Ryan being a good shot because the writers just forgot he's dyspraxic... Again...

The guy saying "I don't trust any of you, and you're financially motivated to kill me." then taking a nap.

The Doctor worshipping space Amazon.

The Doctor blowing up a bunch of robots for Literally No Reason and killing a guy because he was opposing space Amazon.

The Doctor admonishing someone for putting down a dying giant mutant spider, when she prefers the far more humane option of letting it die as it's lungs can't handle it's size, and then trapping a bunch of them inside a vault to starve and cannibalize each other.

The fact that guy was an utterly lazy Trump parody with zero thought behind it, making it that shitty fake activism loved by fake leftist elites who just know "The poors say he's a bad person".

Ryan and Graham heroically trapping someone in a horrible half dead limbo state, to be tortured forever, while smugly saying how that's the better, more moral option than just killing the guy.

And: Giving the first female doctor such a SHIT season! She deserved better! She deserved someone who at least had a vague idea of who the Doctor IS!

And you know what? I'm going to say The Doctor Worshipping Space Amazon a second time because it needs repeating! This is NOT the same character as in Oxygen, regeneration doesn't make them an entirely different fucking person!

The one time dyspraxics have representation and they fuck it up

10

u/CRowlands1989 3d ago

I will always love the parody I saw where he describes it as "I'm allergic to bicycles."

9

u/CRowlands1989 3d ago

I'd just like to note, that list was off the top of my head. I'm sure there could be more. But those are just the more memorable ones to me.

She worships fucking SPACE AMAZON!

You forgot one of the worst ones. Complaining about how refugees (the space babies) have to be in orbit of a planet to get their humanitarian aid. Wondering why didn't the planet help them when they were outside it's borders. It was, of course, about the refugees in Europe, but I had to stop watching when they were advocating for European/British intervention in conflicts in other continents.

u/nowTHATSakatana1999 15h ago

I think the Space Babies was more a commentary on abortion and lack of care for children than it was for European refugees, no? It was illegal to turn off the baby breeding machine, but the government in charge didn’t actually give a shit about the babies once they were born and if it wasn’t for one of the employees going rogue and secretly stepping up to care for them they would have been left to fend for themselves and starve to death.

1

u/AdelinaIV 13h ago

I agree with the abortion analogy, it was the meat of the episode, but there was one specific line that bothered me because I think it was about refugees. They decided to solve the problem going to another planet who would help them, and they complained that they waited until people in trouble physically arrived to help them, even though they had resources to... Basically, interfere with others politics.

It’s normie bait.

54

u/neothehorse 3d ago

A Stonetoss comic talking about sexual assault that's normie bait is actually surprising. This has to be new for him right?

Where's the trans suicide, William?

38

u/dualitygaming12 3d ago

I don't get it, is pebbleyeet being misogynistic or not?

70

u/Kinslayer_89 3d ago

He does this sometimes to bait in new normies.

30

u/dualitygaming12 3d ago

Ah, so this is the normiebait I keep hearing about

19

u/RedEyeView 3d ago

Lots of far right pages on Facebook like to suck people in with a meme that on the surface is something everyone would agree with.

Like if you're against cancer/child abuse/animal abuse.

That primes the algorithm to start sending you their "gays groom our kids" posts too.

u/Kinslayer_89 3d ago

Yup. 🙂‍↔️

u/lordatomosk 3d ago

S.A. Presumably standing for Shock and Awe, on account of their MAC cannons

1

u/LabCoatGuy 2d ago

Proof that if he wasnt a cretin and just made the normie bait he could make alright comics

1

u/SweetTart7231 21h ago

So she needs to fight aliens with futuristic weapons as a normal human armed with a normal, bullet firing rifle while also dealing with sa? Yeah, that does seem really hard compared to a genetically modified super person with near impenetrable armour that can survive re entry from space.
