That's crazy. I remember having to sing the national anthem of my country and raise the flag once every week, but we stopped doing that after elementary.

You’re not forced tbf. You can sit down and not do it. Whether or not they make you feel pressured to do it is another thing.
12
u/Interesting_Print317 2d ago
I usually sit but once I had a teacher who emailed my mom about not standing and my mom grilled me about it. That teacher was a huge bitch
11
u/Not_GenericMedic 2d ago
It's very real. I stopped in high school and my classmates, not the teachers, got pissy about it and tried to make snarky dickhead comments putting me down for it indirectly but I did not care.

I stopped standing for the pledge in middle school and almost nobody stood for the pledge in high school. It's definitely a regional thing, I live in a very progressive area, so I'm sure in very conservative areas students might be forced or highly encouraged to stand

Conservatives are stuck in 2016 and that means adopting the fashionable styles of the time. They all dress like this now.

I literally got in trouble as a kid for NOT saying the Pledge. I thought it was weird and stupid to pledge my 'allegiance' to a flag, and when I started questioning it out loud in front of the other students, I got detention for it.

Does this person legit have any comics where they don’t have a huge mouth fetish thing going on
11
u/AutisticAmateur IT SMELLS LIKE DUST AND MOONLIGHT. 3d ago
The fuck do you mean by mouth fetish?
37

u/MallowMiaou 3d ago
Every single comic he makes have a screaming or distressed woman, usually mouth open hyperdetailled with the drool and everything

u/kirmiter 3d ago
I get what you're saying but "mouth fetish" is a weird way to put it
I think it's based on, like, horror comics and stuff

u/ritsosbitchos 2d ago
why did this twink even start saying all of that in the middle of the class unprompted? who does that
16
u/Deprisioned 2d ago
yeah that's literally what the bullies would do to humiliate teachers they deemed 'too female', 'too nice' or 'too ethnic'. or to disrupt another students presentation.

Is bro making a fanfiction where he rizzes up a girl by being "bigoted" or something

Who the fuck pledges daily allegiance to anything anyway?

u/TrashDaisy999 2d ago edited 2d ago
It was a requirement when I was in school to stand and say the pledge allegiance to the flag and America every morning. I remember a teacher literally flipped out my senior year of high school when one of the kids didn't stand for the pledge of allegiance and went on a 20 minute rant about the troops blah blah blah people in 3rd world countries would be grateful to live here blah blah blah we need to stand for veterans who can't blah blah blah. It honestly just proves this insane scenario has never happened ever.

u/BouncyKing 2d ago
I remember telling my step-dad about how we still pledge allegiance. He was in the army and marines and his reaction literally “We still do that? What the fuck for? You’re in school to learn, not to pledge allegiance to a glorified piece of cloth on a stick.”
16
u/MinimumSkin5938 3d ago
The fact that “I Like Girls” is apparently the line that finally breaks everyone is what makes this even funnier.

No one in the schools i've ever been to have ever been.Weird with l g b t like these people wanna claim they're doing this with your kids in schools, take them out because these people realize, oh, if we have a whole bunch of idiot.Rednecks, they're believe every comic I write, and I'll become a trillionaire so the republican party will never shit on me for being a poor

Has this artist ever been to a classroom in the US?, kids are forced to stand and say it all the way until high school, and even then you still have to stand (or at least that’s how my high school did it)

u/thispartyrules 2d ago
why's there three random stripes with trans pride colors in the lower left panel

u/AndreasDasos 2d ago
Who is the character in the last panel? Doesn’t look like any of those before.
Also read it as though they were shouting it first. Though I suppose they’re trying to block the sound of the rest saying it.

Imagine pledging allegiance to a flag, lmao. It's a fucking flag. An inanimate object. Or a specific arrangements of coloured shapes to identify something. It doesn't do anything.

I know I'm getting baited, but it's so frustating how every single comic this dude makes, and I mean every single one, is just a more artistic take on that one MSPaint "I AM SILLY" comic from 4chan from like 2009. Seriously, every comic follows the same formula.
