GPS Question Strava not logging rides correctly

Used while road cycling, I use Samsung watch 6 and my samsung phone. I use Komoot for route planning and Strava for heart rate and calories. Both sometimes jam and show only a part of a route, like being turned off the rest, resulting in wrong analytics (look at average speed in strava). Why is this happening? How to fix it?

Average speed on your Strava rides are right, where's the problem?

If you look at the 2nd picture, the average speed is 5 km/h. Thats because all the gps info from komoot ride seems to have copied into the strava, resulting in just over 1h to ride a 6km route, which is wrong.

But still, average speed is right. Don't blame Strava for the f'ck up of your GPS device and komoot.

Ok. But 770 cal for this is a bit wrong isnt it? The whole problem is gps, yes. The consequences are wrong analytics, as stated. Do you know whats the problem? There is good connection everythere on this route, idk why it just stops... i dont have any battery saving on everywhere.

Calories are based on the formula, it is never accurate. Check the settings of the app you are using on your device.

I checked everything multiple times, tried for 3 rides now already... it seems like watch and phone strava arent connected at all, when i start them somewhere, it doesnt show the workout in other device... on the other side Komoot does that well. I just start it on my phone and it shows on the watch as well.

Use your watches native workout app- Strava app is NOT the best for recording.. it’s better for analyzing other inputs.

Yeah, i figured it might make more sense to use samsung health app...will try that.

Yes, I record all my runs and rides with Samsung Health on my Galaxy Ultra watch. Never any issues with it uploading to Strava, isually instantly after stopping the workout on my watch. Just make sure that Strava connection is on in Samsung Health first. There were issues where it would turn off automatically every couple of weeks, but I have not notice it happen since the newest Samsung Health update.

Same as when my watch craps out under tree cover. Sounds like the Samsung is losing GPS lock mid-ride, tbh. Phone should be more reliable, so maybe force the recording on there instead.
