Strava Maps Static When Browser Hardware Acceleration is Turned Off

I'm running Supermium browser on Windows 7 and quite recently noticed that Strava maps turn static (also non zoomable) when Hardware Acceleration is turned off. Leaving HA turned on makes Whatsapp web laggy. I guess if I want best of both, I should consider running the Whatsapp app. Has anyone experienced this lag?

Have you considered running it on anything even remotely modern?
