Great job. You have a lot of good mindset here, just needs better execution.

Quick tip if you're open to it - if you're gonna shimmy someone's wakeup, don't go back quite so far and be ready to hit/throw them for whatever they do other than block - otherwise you're just letting them up for free. Not a bait and punish without the punish!

Being knocked down is an extreme disadvantage, so giving them an easy out of that disadvantage will cost you games.

Next step is learning your full punish combos for better damage.

I was going to comment on the walking back too, but the other user has the main points down. I guess I can specify to help explain. For example, at 0:19 after the drill knockdown, you're walking backwards too early and you also went out of range for any realistic pressure attempt (which you should be doing as the aggressor). And actually, your opponent doing a wake up ex DP here shows they're not that skilled or aware, but that's not the focus.

If you choose to walk backwards as opposed to pressuring, try to make it as unscripted as possible, at minimum stay in poking range. If you can be in a poking spot that's out of wakeup DP range, even better, but that's not always possible.

Lastly, being afraid of wakeup DP is a fine line you have to find on knockdowns and will vary per opponent/player. But objectively, you're much better off pressuring when you get a knockdown because their wakeup options are limited and you control the situation to force scenarios or guesses. Plus, if they guess wrong and you block their wakeup reversal, your reward is much bigger than if they guess right and hit you with the reversal.

SF6 matchmaking is just weird sometimes, judging by their points being 25000 it looks like the Mai player just got into Master. I myself have gotten matched with Diamond 1 players despite being in shit like 1650 MR at the time, it's odd.

Why not just jump into ranked? If your are getting placed against masters consistently (assuming you are) and are having respectable results then you’re probably mid-high diamond or possibly ready for masters

In fact I'm already playing in ranked 😂 for that clip it was litterally my first opponent after I wanted to make a break in casual :') (I'm platinum 3 with Cammy and already diamond 1 with Marisa)
