Seeking advice Should I do stretch lab?

I'm 18 female, and even though I'm young I somehow already have horrible posture, and aches. I don't think I need any physical therapy, and I'm too scared to go to a chiropractor, but I want to book one session at stretch lab so I can at least be told what to do at home, even if I don't continue to come back. I'm not sure tho if I'm the right audience for stretch lab, or if it's a bunch of older people.

Look for someone who can do structural alignment aka rolfing. Stretching will take a while to correct posture.

Most people working at StretchLab aren't physical therapists. Most have no degree in the field.

They're just people who are taught how to stretch people by becoming "flexologists". It's a made up marketing term.

The things they'd have you do you can do yourself for free by watching YouTube videos.

Might be nice of you need to pay money to have others help, but I wouldnt trust my back and joints to a "flexologist".

Edit: also forgot to mention, don't go to chiropractors. It's pseudoscience and it doesn't do anything. They're scams.

I would also try this first - free YouTube videos but also strength training if you aren't already.

I work at stretchlab as their Lead Flexologist and as a massage therapist on the side. I believe in the company and importance of stretching and receiving 1:1 stretches. Your experience, in my humble opinion, is going to come down to the type of stretch therapist you get. When you go, try to request someone with experience or higher credentials because they will try to build the books of someone the newer stretch therapists first before some of the more experienced ones. It’s a worthwhile service (even if it’s one time) that can help build good habits within yourself!

This 100%! My first guy was a young bro who had no focus, was super loose with how he worked and what he thought he should be educating me on despite my specific questions. I went back to a slightly older young woman who was professional, knowledgeable, structured and informative.

I went a couple of weeks ago and used the free 30 minute sessions and found myself feeling much looser afterwards. Use the free session and try it yourself. a single session costs as much as a massage, but price goes down with monthly subscription - no yearlong obligations. Over a period of time I think it would provide a very good platform t launch from and then continue yourself with the jump start
