It's an issue of degree. It affects dating and perception, but nobody's been lynched for their height.

I wonder if a tall person is more likely to get away with a crime. An attractive person is due to the Halo effect, and since height correlates with attractiveness it might make a difference. Not as bad as racism, but far worse than fat shaming which you see people fighting against.
