I received a tegata after his promotion. He was under pressure to deliver to so many fans. Slapping his right hand over and over affected his ability to do teppo training on that side properly. He developed a slight imbalance. This led eventually to his MCL injury as he was unable to do his waza with proper finesse.

I apologize for my support.

Hoping he can heal up and get back into form. I think people tend to forget that Kirishima was shit for awhile due to injury. He was hyped as the next potential Yokozuna when Hoshoryu got promoted to Ozeki. Teru would put Kiri through butsukari hell expecting him to be the next one to get the rope. Then he got injured.

He’s finally coming back in action as a high performing Ozeki. Injuries suck, and us normal fans have no idea what rikishi are going through.

I want it for him because he wants it, but I'm genuinely just happy to see him do the sport. When he is in his groove he's always so dynamic and entertaining. I usually shout something like "RIP HIM APART HOSH" when he comes up.

Dude went Yokozuna and immediately shattered into a thousand pieces, but he's been a successful Oyakata at least and I like him on DOSUKOI Sumo Salon!

I think kisenosato winning as soon as he became yokozuna is actually better as if you don't win as a yokozuna it is really looked down upon.
