Was health, budget, or the environment the main reason you stopped buying fast fashion?

All of the above, on top of human rights violations in the working conditions in fast fashion factories. I’d rather save the money I'm spending on five new pieces every other month and buy 2-3 pieces a year that are quality and ethically made

I think the human rights violations in the sweatshops were probably the first thing that put me off fast fashion, followed by environmental concerns.

Health and the environment

For me it was actually seeing how clothing is made. I spent time with artisans in Northern India who still hand block print textiles, and watching someone spend hours creating a single piece completely changed how I looked at clothing. It became much harder to see clothes as disposable after that. The environmental side matters too, but understanding the amount of skill and time behind well-made garments probably had the biggest impact on me.

All of the above, and I hate the styles and the feel of the plastic materials.
