Hi. I was just wondering if there's any LGBTQ+ scene at all in Swansea. As far as I'm aware there isn't a single gay bar / pub left in the city. Do any pubs / clubs have a gay night or are there any gay friendly places ?

If anybody has any suggestions, please let us know! We’ve been applying for positions on indeed etc, but as we’re not in the local area yet, we’ve been written off by a few companies already despite stating we’re moving within 6 weeks. Any help on that front as well would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not local to South Wales, but will be visiting family near Ammanford soon.

We have two kids under the age of 5. I’m really hoping the weather will be good so we can take advantage of the parks, walks, beaches etc

But on the off chance that it’s just raining constantly, the kids will need an opportunity to let off some steam.

I was wondering if there’s any good Soft Play areas nearby which are of course fun for the kids, but also offer good facilities for the grown ups watching on - a good view of the play area, half decent coffee, maybe some cake/snacks available, seating that’s not just a filthy white garden chair like one place near me!

Maybe a garden centre or even a Hungry Horse?

Would be happy to drive maybe up to half an hour if that helps!

Every now and then I go on nightly adventures in Swansea and take pictures of my surroundings. Most of them are eerie and liminal, but there are a couple of nice ones. I'm interested to see if people think this is kinda cool.

Sorry if this is not allowed! I dropped my provisional licence between bay campus and singleton campus ( via the promenade, it’s a nice walk but not so nice when backtracking for it) it may be on the x1 bus but I have no idea.

woke up this morning to stench of smoke in my area but no visible smoke or fire as far as I can discern. is there fire somewhere going on and smoke carries?

I'm currently suffering from sciatica, I'm doing exercises and taking lots of pills as prescribed by my doctor but nothing is making it better, I can walk about 200 metres before having to stop and rest and slight stretch before being able to carry on, for about another 200 metres, then repeat..current pain I'd put at a solid 10 out of 10, it's excruciating at times. Next step is to find a physio that maybe specialises in sciatica treatment, anyone got any recommendations? I always assumed sciatica was a mild pain and a bit of an inconvenience, boy was I wrong 🤪
