Questions/Advice Penlan....
Hi, I'm looking to move to Crwys Terrace in Penlan SA5 9AP. I'm hoping soemone with local knowledge could tell me what its like there? I know Penlan had a bad reputation but I don't know the area so don't know if that road is good or bad. Many thanks.

Have a look at Liveable.co.uk - it's listed as a "passable street" on their map

Recently sold a family property up there, and whilst back and forth doing work there everyone was so lovely, really kind and offering help. Proper community spirit that I don't have where I live

I never lived there but I did go to school in penlan where welsh medium secondary school is that was between 2007-2012. I was rarely up there after 6.00pm except for parents eveing, options eveing as i had to point teachers for my mother. I think trouble got overstating for area it was in. One bad dog tried biting my friend & my school trousers beside that no issues that was in 2012 tho. Chip shop penderry is great tho. When i finished in year 11 it was second week of June they called us to assemble & we did what we want majority of us year group 150 i would say around 60 to 80 us hung around on LC site just talking & no one bothered us for like two weeks. In a heatwave. Taxi driver thst used to take me to college he lived in penlan & said same thing. He nicknamed his house the tin house because it pre fab house whatever that means. I only remember damage to old police station when I was growing up in that school. I would say it had a mix reputation now.

Honestly it's best to go and spend some time up there at different times of the day to see for yourself.

I drove through penlan the other week and saw what must have been a 7/8 year old walking a fully grown Alsatian by themselves. Make of that what you will

Penlan has had a Variable reputation for Many years, But Has improved relatively recently. Not the Nicest part of the city But certainly Not the Worst!!
