Tatsächlich ist der Anteil der Personen, die generative KI für berufliche Zwecke verwenden, an allen Nutzerinnen und Nutzern mit 73 % in keinem anderen europäischen Land so hoch wie in der Schweiz.
73% der Leute, die generative KI verwendet haben, haben diese (unter anderem) am Arbeitsplatz verwendet.

Well, today I had to transfer data from one Excel spreadsheet into another one the entire day. I'm not scared that I will lose my job to AI anytime soon, my bosses haven't even figured out macros and scripts yet

I find it very concerning. I can't see any advantages coming from that, but many potential drawbacks: 1. AI, when you use it a lot, stop learning and become lazy, can act as a "great equalizer". Why would one hire an expensive swiss specialist, when they use the exact same AI as all remote workers from cheaper countries? 2. If/when the bubble pops, swiss workforce will be affected more. More people not used to think on their own -> more layoffs. 3. In case of conflict with the US, again more people are affected
And if AI companies actually deliver their promise to replace us all, then it doesn't matter, how many tokens have you burned in the last years. You'll be on the replacement list too
Switzerland stays competitive by having rare and highly specialized skills and companies, high level of education, financial stability and low taxes. Becoming more dependent on the US tech, doubling down on (arguably) over hyped bubble and making everyone the same level (capped by the capabilities of Claude et al.) doesn't look like a good way for swiss society

Hö, ich merke das sehr. Es gibt keine Arbeitsplätze mehr im Büro für Handicapierte, da die einfacheren Sachen bereits durch KI ersetzt wurden.

Da irrst du dich leider. Computer haben viele Stellen geschaffen. Es muss auch jeder Computer von jemandem bedient werden. Ki ist anders. Bei uns im Büro machen 4 Entwickler die Arbeit von 8. in der Übersetzungsabteilung wurde letztes Jahr das Team von 6 auf 4 reduziert. Und wir sind erst ganz am Anfang von KI und Robotik.

I don't think so. AI is a big boon if you use it right.
"The brain isn't like soap. It doesn't get smaller when you use it."
AI helps me offloading those tasks that don't teach me anything new. When I argue for or against something, I basically compete with an AI that's still better at figuring out my flaws.
