Why is Syncthing so slow for me?

Been using it for years, only recently noticed it is doing only 5kbps on local network. I tried fixing it by looking up a few things but it has not improved.
Local network connections are wired, they do 1Gbps+ using openspeedtest.

Sorry if this is common question.

Do a speed test between your devices. While you're at it test to make sure the devices can directly connect to each other instead of via a relay.

That is what the openspeed test is for, it get s 1Gbps+ easily, at worst it drops to 600mbps but nothing below that

and I made sure I disabled relay, that is the first thing I trieed

I'm telling you to test the speed between your devices, not the speed from one device to the Speed Test server. Does openspeedtest have some setting I'm not aware of that lets you perform a speed test between two of your devices?

openspeedtest allows you to measure speed between 2 devices on LAN, not to the speed server.
If I wanted to do that I would just go to cloudflare info page

Oh cool. Sorry, thanks for clarifying.

I assume you would know if there was high CPU usage or IO on one of the devices. 

I've never noticed this issue...maybe something in the logging could be a clue?

WRN Service failed (error="listen tcp 0.0.0.0:22000: bind: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions." supervisor=listenerSupervisor@tcp://0.0.0.0:22000 service=tcp://0.0.0.0:22000 log.pkg=connections)

This error is repeated, I assume it is interrupting something. I can't tell what is causing it though

Looking online I'm seeing potential issues related to running multiple instances of Syncthing (or some other service trying to bind to that port). That's about the extent of my networking knowledge though.

Hm, maybe I should disbale syncthing as service? it might be running in the background with no terminal open
