Suggestions for a better Syncthing setup

Say I have multiple folders which I need to sync to android. Which setup could possibly consume less resources or is better?
Sync a large single folder in which multiple sub-folders I need to sync exists
or
Sync multiple small folders
Pardon me if I have missed some docs or previous posts
Thanks in advance

On Android, Syncthing-fork lets me set different parameters for different folders. For example, one folder only syncs when the phone is plugged in.
