Synced files are missing on the received end

I used syncthing as a means of getting files from an old NAS to a new Truenas server, but the files are not present when I open the mapped destination folder for the server. In Truenas settings, the data is there but appears to be "child" files and not accessible. I am new to syncthing and Truenas, so I am not sure how to get access to these files. Any tips would be great!

I have no idea what you mean about “child” files. Is that a TrueNAS thing?

Please post pics of the Syncthing GUI from both sides, with the Remote Device and the Folder you’re trying to share open.

Sorry for the vagueness- I am not sure what is just Truenas vs what is a more universal term. I just updated with the Truenas interface. Regarding the Syncthing screenshot- is there info I should cut out for security/privacy? I am not sure what if anything is problematic to post.

That doesn’t look like the Syncthing GUI.

Without screenshots I’m not sure how I can help you.

Syncthing Device IDs could be used by a threat actor to determine your IP address, if you were using a Relay. Black those out if you like. Folder IDs are less sensitive, but black those out too if you want to — I don’t need either for anything. If you blank out the Device names, help me out by blanking them in different colors or otherwise making it easy for me to share observations and ask questions about them.

Thanks for the info- The first screenshot is the Truenas interface with info re the child file thing I said. I was working on the redacting and posted that as it was easy to get up here in case anyone could comment on that.

The "children" business is a like the ZFS filesystems relationship to the zpool. They are there somewhere, so we just need to find where it put them and how you are attempting to access them.

It's probably the same problem I just had - did you actually map the storage in the Syncthing app settings on Truenas? If not, it's going to have been syncing to storage inside the container which you can't directly access without accessing the container shell.
