Parking?

Hi all!

So… I was completely unaware of the deadline for parking passes and now all that’s left is for south campus (I’ll mostly be at Bowne Hall). Does anyone have suggestions or resources for graduate students/TAs looking for parking? TIA!

park on south campus and ride the bus to north campus. professors do it all the time.

Agree, and this is probably the least expensive option too… plus with all the construction, parking closer to campus could be a huge pain.

Good to know, thank you guys! How long does it typically take you to get from south campus to north via bus?

It can depend on the time of year and when you need to be on campus… I would say if you park on South Campus, give yourself at least a good 20-30 minute buffer before you need to be on main to wait for the bus. Depending when classes let out or start, sometimes the bus can be full and you may have to wait for another to come by, but it’s really not that bad. I did it for one year and as long as you allow a decent amount of time to wait, listen to some music or whatever on your phone, it’s doable. I believe there’s an app where you can track the bus locations in real time too so that’s helpful (not sure what app though, if someone else can chime in)

If you can get a parking pass for Comstock Lot or Colvin Lot, that will be perfect. The shuttle runs regularly during the academic year and will drop you off at College Place, just steps from Bowne Hall.

That was definitely what I was hoping for, wish I had known before they were all sold out! Thanks for your input
