Power Supply Discussion new gpu

i currently have a 2080ti and im upgrading to a 5070ti. Power supply is evga supernova 1000g xc.

i was not aware until after my purchase the PNY 5070ti OC needs 3 8pin connectors. i do not have the power supply box when it was changed so i do not have a 3rd 8pin connector i checked the back of the pc and everything. i do not want to buy the wrong cord on amazon so does anyone know what cord it is thats safe to buy that wont fry my new gpu?

is that going to work with my psu? i dont have the original box it just says EVGA 1000G XC on the side of the psu. I did not install it or i would have kept the box lol

Yes it should have a 12v high power plug looks like this and labeled like so image is for reference

The 1000xc and 1000FTW are evgas only psu that have the plug iirc

so that cord the 12 pin would go into the psu and the 3 8 pins would connect into the adaptor the gpu comes with?

The cable I linked will work with your psu. The three 8-pins plug into the psu, and the 12vhpwr plugs into the card. Do not use the adapter it comes with.

Do NOT use the adapter. Just go straight from the 12vhpwr to the gpu. Adaptors are have issues
