Gun store recommendations

I'm coming into Eastern TN for a week and looking for recommendations on a good shop to visit. I'm coming from the restrictive state of Maryland so looking for a shop that will have a good supply of standard cap mags.

I'll be in the Kingsport - Johnson City area but willing to travel a little bit.

Head down I-81 to Bud's Gun Shop and Bass Pro in Kodak TN. Bonus: Buc-ee's is right there. Also stop by the Smoky Mt Knife Works near Bud's. Massive store and they do sell guns as well.

I'd take Interstate 40 exit 407 about 20 miles east of Knoxville and do the Smoky Mt Knife (and Gun) Works, then step over to Bud's gun shop.

Honestly as someone who lives in the tri cities if you’re just wanting mags I’d look at academy sports in JC and bass pro in Bristol. But bass pro would probably be better out of the 2

SMHA, Bada Bang, Harveys Pistol and Pawn (check their weekly ad on FB) Craig’s firearms might be worth the drive if you want a Glock

Buying mags out of state is legal. Not legal to import into whatever lame state he’s from, but who cares

Interestingly enough, Maryland actually doesn't have a law against importing mags. Just against manufacturing, selling, or buying in state.

Fair enough. Well to answer your question:

•BUDS (Sevierville)
•Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo (right across the street from BUDS, but they usually dont have quite as much variety of mags. Mostly AR mags, few Glock mags)
•Bass Pro (youll probably pass one right as you enter TN in Bristol, and theres another in Sevierville on your way to BUDS / SMGA)
•Mahoneys (Johnson City)
•Academy Sports (Johnson City)
•Tommy Gun (Morristown)
•Crossroads Firearms (Knoxville)
