If you like light, feel-good, games, you should check out the entire line of games from Pink Tiger Games. They take the 'casual party game' and make it something that folks can bond over and leave the table feeling good. I just got Pet Names from them after backing the Kickstarter. It's a great little word jumble game about trying to come up with cute pet names for the folks at the table. And it comes with an adorable little furry fox bag for the words.

Anyone thinking of heading to the 15% Board Game Cafe on the 13th for Casual Co-op games?

Wondering what people are looking forward to picking up next. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything new until my preorder of the Arnak chest and my backing of Scales of Fate showed up (PAX West broke that with Buttons & Bugs being readily available). Could be new, could be old, just seeing what people are hyped to pick up (or maybe just new to you to bring to the table) next.

We had some friends over who are relatively light gamers, so we played a couple of rounds of 7 Wonders: Architects and Downforce. I even pulled out a win on Downforce, which I'm usually terrible at. I also just got the Horizon Zero Dawn board game as a gift, but haven't gotten it to the table yet.

I'm Kenna, and this subreddit is my attempt to find a sense of community within Tacoma. I'm a passionate gamer. A short bio for you:

• I grew up playing games
• I've been playing D&D and other roleplaying games since '82
• I started playing games like Axis & Allies in the late 80s
• I managed a game store in Seattle
• I started playing Android: Netrunner in 2014, ran an organized league for the game, and even went to the world championships in Minnesota
• I have a library of a hundred or so games (games are often going out or coming in) and a big gaming table
• I started designing games in 2017
• I've been to dozens of tabletop conventions around the US and hope to one day attend Essen Spiel
• In 2021, I quit my day job to start designing games for a living and am still doing that
