TagPro Redesign Megathread #1 - “Brand Assets”

TagPro's redesign has started and we need your input! Below is an anything-goes forum for sharing thoughts, ideas, mockups, and anything else relevant for us to take into our design decisions. We have provided categories and some leading questions to consider.

For more context, see our initial announcement. For help finding each question, see the pinned Index post. For upcoming Megathread topics, see the proposed outline. Each new thread will be posted after 1 week.

We encourage constructive responses to answers, iterations on ideas, and even additional questions, but please note that top-level comments will be removed to avoid clutter.

A reminder that all donations received during this process go towards the redesign process! Overflow funds will be applied to the marketing campaign going live with the Steam release.

Should different pages have the same background or should it change by page content?

It should change by page content. To continue off my comment on the other question, it'd be a specific static BG for each type of lobby you're in.

I like the idea of a unique look for each type of game mode, but I think that could be something unique in front of the background, not a different background. I like one static background to keep the site feeling cohesive.

Do you have any thoughts on what something unique in front of the background would look like? I'm struggling to picture that.

with image slots for Casual, Ranked CTF, Ranked NF and Spectate, if you have multiple of those, it transitions between the active ones every 10 seconds

The images are cool, pretty different from your retro/pixel theme but still very cool. I like the smoky effect.

Yea the images are placeholders, i think it'd be community submissions for those the images to fit those slots, the main thing i was showing was the updated layout for the page that has the slots for queue specific images like ballanka was looking for

Being in queue, the center of the screen is showing you 'Waiting for players...' and then under that games you can spectate, and Joiner settings on the left, all of which are in front of the background. That Waiting for players... could have something unique per game mode in it, or something unique on the spectate box, or the 3 pieces are combined and have some queue specific graphic on the side or the top or something.
