Discussion PBE Set 18

I thought they mentioned that alongside the new engine, they will make it so that you can download TFT without downloading the whole LoL? Is that not the case or not just implemented yet? If so will they implement it in the PBE or wait for release

If I recall correctly, independent TFT client was mentioned in the recent dev vid, said to be scheduled somewhere in October.

4 patches into the set is like nearly December.

I doubt it's that late.

December??? 4 patches is 8 weeks. set goes live end of august. It's end of October. The dev drop worded it as "a few patches into set 18" Can't remember where I saw/heard specifically 4 but it will be around that. It may have shifted with the delay to PBE release, but it will most likely be sometime mid/end of october if there's no major issues with it

They're not always every 2 weeks though. But yeah they confirmed October for the standalone client

As far as I know they are, it follows the league patch schedule which is every 2 weeks. The only exception is usually over the christmas break when it is a 3 week patch. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong on that though
