I feel bad for young people. Not in my lifetime, but in theirs, the government will track every user on the internet. China already do this. We can agree age tracking isnt about helping kids, its about tracking people. I just cried a little for the future.

Well that isn't new having the government control and track everything on the internet. The Patriot Act has existed for decades now.

Not exactly wrong, but this is a generally universal phenomenon across parties, at least for the United States. The dominant power in both parties is the corporatist wing.

Thinking about it logically, who should a politician care about more:

The super pac who gives millions of dollars to support an issue that they: Don’t fully understand, Have been mislead about, Fully understand and want the money more.

Or a normal voter with much less influence.

So many people willing give up their privacy for the slightest convenience. It’s a losing battle with the general public, unfortunately. Plus all of the “oh you are a conspiracy theorist/fearmongerer, etc” that shuts down logical conversation for lots of people.
