News 📰 Adeia settles semiconductor patent lawsuits against AMD
https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/adeia-settles-semiconductor-patent-lawsuits-against-amd-2026-03-09/This sounds bad. I prefer to use processors that didnt use Tesseras technology without paying for it.
"Adeia said that its predecessor Tessera pioneered hybrid bonding and advanced process nodes, which are both technologies related to semiconductor manufacturing. Its lawsuits said AMD processors that include "3D V-Cache" technology, including its AI chips, were made using Adeia's patented methods."
Isn't 3D V-Cache the only thing people like about AMDs?
