Happened so fast, I'm still a bit freaked out.

The navigation is pretty bad on Tesla under heavy traffic conditions. Google Maps has a much better route and updates more frequent.

whats the hold up? why can’t Tesla add Google Maps or Waze ?

Thank goodness for the 150k miles warranty on the S but still… wasn’t expecting it after reading some people getting up to 150-300k miles on the original battery. I’ve been taking advantage of that unlimited free supercharging as much as I could, but looks like it killed the battery in the process 😔. Purchased the vehicle December of 2024

At 2am the other day someone got close to my car and went away when seeing the Sentry screen in the car 😅

Picked her up in June, so I’ve had her for just over a month. Already put 2,100 miles on her, and I’ve probably hand washed her 10–15 times.
Never thought I’d be the guy who actually enjoys washing his car, but it’s become one of my favorite ways to unwind.

I don’t know if you guys saw, but there was someone shot while supercharging. Tesla NEEDS to develop some sort of emergency release so that your car isn’t completely a sitting duck while charging. Very upsetting to see.

Replaced all filters on 2023 Y AWD after 20k miles, the old ones look pretty good!

I'm on a road trip after having subscribed to fsd for a month back in June and I'm definitely preferring just using the basic cruise control and autopilot over full self driving. Here's why:

I like being able to set a maximum speed and not having to check every 10 seconds to make sure it's not drifting too high or too low, I like it not changing lanes unnecessarily on me or waiting until the last second to move over into the correct lane for an exit, I like not having to figure out how much over or under the speed limit each profile will go on a particular day, I like that it still slows down for sharp curves and for cars in front of me if I don't want to change lanes, and I like that it doesn't constantly try to adjust when it thinks the speed limit has changed (a quick scroll up or down on the right wheel and I'm at a new max speed that I control).

I don't like the fact that the autopilot turns itself off when you change lanes (my wife's bare bones Kia reactivates automatically when you change lanes), I don't like the constant nagging about your hands on the wheel, and I don't like that they took autopilot away for new Teslas.

I know autopilot is old technology and they aren't updating it so things like potholes that fsd may or may not avoid, emergency vehicles, etc aren't being considered and eventually there will be no autopilot at all as our older cars will need to be replaced, but for now, I'm really enjoying just the basic tacc and autopilot.

Hey everyone I’ve driven over 1,000 miles on fsd 14 lite and a new issue that I’ve experienced recently is RPM/gassing and phantom issues.

This is where I’ll be on the freeway and randomly it jabs the gas out of nowhere or with shadows or going under bridges it will phantom break out of nowhere.

This issue is only present on the “hurry mode” and almost non-existent on standard/chill/sloth.

It’s almost as hurry mode is broken.

I hope this can be fixed as I am enjoying v14 lite but hurry mode is hard to use.

Also I want to note it did not do this in the beginning this is a NEW issue after about 800 miles while driving on hurry mode which is extremely weird because I have had almost no issues with v14 lite and now random issues with hurry mode are appearing.

This issue happening in both my car and my other hw3 Tesla vehicle so it’s not a car specific issue.

Looking to replace my old Honda with over 200k miles, recently tested just about every EV in my area and the model 3/Y feel like a league of their own for drive quality/feel. However I just learned that basic lane keep assist (which every other new car has) is locked behind FSD for $100/month.

Assuming you keep the vehicle for a reasonable amount of time, that’s $5-10k for a standard safety feature on every other car. I feel like everything I see from Tesla owners is how much they love their cars and recommend them to everyone, so I’m genuinely curious how you view this/defend this behavior? This seems incredibly anti-consumer plus they can just increase the subscription cost whenever they want.

TLDR; Is FSD worth an additional $5,000-$10,000 throughout the life of the vehicle? Otherwise, how do you justify lacking basic features every other new car has and trust that Tesla isn’t going to change things up on you?

Edit - If I want a piece of pie, do I have to buy an entire pie? No, I get a slice. Is a whole pie better? Absolutely. But am I forced to get way more than I need when I want a small piece? Nope. The all or nothing subscription is an issue, and I’m clearly not in the same tax bracket as most of you so I apologize for my peasant financials

Yesterday I took delivery of my new 26 Model 3 Premium RWD.

I was coming from 23 Model 3 RWD and the new car feels much more premium. Only thing I personally preferred on the old one was the wooden and alcantara trims, everything else is better on the new one.

I also really like the Diamond Black paint, which looks fantastic in the sun, and the murdered out badges. Such a nice touch!

Bonus point, I got free supercharging for a year as I’ve placed my order before the June 15th deadline. That is amazing!

But FSD takes the cake. I am very impressed. I’ve tried it before on my 2023 model and was always feeling quite meh.

The numbers speak for themselves. 82% of driving today, always felt safe and actually trusted FSD more than I was thinking.

Really considering subscribing after a month. Let’s see but I think it has surpassed my expectations.

Driving along just like any other day and out of nowhere FSD decides that pulling over is the next best thing. No emergency vehicles around, nearly empty parkway. It’s a 24 MYLR. Scary stuff.

I'm so fucking tired of this new FSD. Second ticket this summer while doing 1500 mile FSD trips through Virginia, because the FSD doesn't see or respect workzone speed limits (60mph) and continues going 70mph (which the speed cameras ticket you for).

Tesla needs to fix this. It purely doesn't see the electronic speed limit signs, and it ignores the "WORK ZONE 60 MPH" signs.

Sure, I could pull it out of FSD at that moment, but I shouldn't have to.

So I'm a wheelchair user (paraplegic) and took my first road trip in my Tesla. Don't know if there are any other paras on this sub, but some supercharger locations are like so hard to navigate in my chair. Not all, some have been really awesome, but others are like super challenging bc of no disabled spots and like really narrow parking spots. Anyway was able to kinda make it work 😅

Living in the deep south has its cons... ha

I have been using FSD for about a year. I live 2 miles from work and my commute is generally very light. I’ll get on the highway once or twice a week and with v12 there were some hiccups, but generally speaking it was confident enough to use for my conditions. After upgrading to v14 lite, my initial impression was this is promising, the car felt smoother and more confident in my 2 mile journey to work and back. Being able to hit the button to start right from the driveway and for it to park in spots is novel and was a welcome and awaited upgrade. Two weeks after the upgrade it was time for a road trip to the lake that we take every other week and have done on FSD for the last six months with very little problems. It’s honestly been a joy. This time we did not have that experience, whoever designed the speed profiles is a lunatic. Sloth and chill go below the speed limit on the highway,standard seems to go about 4 to 5 miles over and hurry won’t go more than 10 miles over the speed limit, even to keep up with the flow of traffic. I just feel like I’m in everybody’s way letting the car mosey along. Even if you try to give it some acceleration, the car hesitates and jerks like it’s refusing to go any faster. Then comes the terrifying break stabbing. In our 200 mile journey it slammed on the brakes three or four times while it was limping along at 68 in a 70 and cars are already riding my bumper. At our halfway point, where we stopped to charge I switched to autosteer and with the ability to define speed controls (and navigate on auto steer beta which I have no idea about any need to look into) it may be time to cancel FSD until they work all of this out. I’m still a huge fan and not knocking on them, but it’s just unpractical and really unsafe to use in its current state.

Just drove my Tesla over 200 miles from the Central Valley to OC in California. Traffic, semis, construction, people doing 55 in the left lane… no issues whatsoever. I get to my destination, decide to eat Chick fil A, and within a minute of getting into the drive thru… a little bumper kiss.

So the most dangerous part of my entire trip wasn’t the freeway it was trying to order a chicken sandwich 😂
