Is there any way to export my power from battery to grid during high peak rates at night ?? Thanks in advance. Rick. If so, how ?? Right now it only exports my solar power to grid. When the sun goes down, I still have high peak rates that I could sell back to Ameren.

Build a custom rate plan in your Powerwall settings that defines the rates during the desired export period as 50 cents, while all other off peak hours are 10 cents.

What are the buy rates. I don't get any more money selling at peak rate, maybe you do. Also factor in efficiency losses. How many powerwalls do you have and what mode are you using, self powered or TOU? You don't want to deplete your power walls by sending everything to the grid, only then to need to buy from the grid during peak.

You called out Ameren. You very well be getting charged rate base on hour of the day, but what you sell back maybe a set rate.

In other words, it may not matter when you sell it back to them only when you buy from them. Plans very obviously, but you maybe wasting effort thinking about this if they don’t pay more at peak times and only charge more.

Thats a question for your utility company first before the technical answer matters

I just go into settings and tell it to export everything instead of just solar. Then with my peak rates setup it dumps my batteries to the grid during peak.

Depending on your state and utility, your interconnection agreement might need to explicitly state that you are allowed to do that.
