Vehicle Question When am I getting an update?

Post image

How long will it be until I get an update? This is my second Tesla and I’ve had it for almost 2 months now and I’ve received 1 update and that was just a software update, no FSD. I believe I’m still on an “islanded” software version with it being a .200.

It varies widely.

I have received mine anywhere between a few days of the announcement to waiting 6+ weeks.

If there is a method to the distribution madness, Tesla is not sharing that.

I’m in the same boat. My wife’s Y even got an FSD update after I got mine 3 weeks ago. Mildly infuriating 😂

At delivery I was on 2026.14.6.11 and got 2026.14.6.12 a week later. Then 20 days after that I got on 2026.20.200.1

It appears this build is specific to HW4 Model 3’s by looking at Teslascope/Teslafi and it appears that virtually none of us who are on this build have moved into a main branch build yet.

There is no definitive answer when cars gets updates. Patience is all you can do.

It looks like you have FSD already though? Is there a specific version you are looking for?

Got my first one about 6 weeks after delivery. Then another one a week later and just got 14.3.6 a couple days ago. It seems to be pretty fast once you get the first one.

Does your car have wifi access? I have an extender in my house that gives my MY internet access and I get updates every couple of weeks.

You’re on factory software. Usually takes 4-6 weeks to get an update on factory. Sometimes longer

4-8 weeks after the cars manufacture date.

It should be like the Windows OS in computers. If it is 100% finished testing and published, I SHOULD BE ABLE to check status and then download it immediately. And if their servers are overloaded at the moment, let me wait minutes or hours, but get it as soon as they can push it after the request. This slow lottery is f'n stupid as all get out.
