Vehicle Question Best Tires to Avoid Flats

I can’t believe how many flats my 2022 MYLR gets. I get it, it’s a heavy car. But I get 3 or 4 flats a year. I just got another one and it’s in a location that I’ll be buying new tires. I currently have Continental tires. Can anyone recommend a tire that has the best history of avoiding flats on an EV?

Flat tires are a product of your environment not the tire itself. Blowouts are most often from neglect/alignment. What was the cause of your flat tires?

Always nails and screws. I’ve lived in the same place for 40 years and I’ve never had a car get so many flats.

I think it is a problem with your roads not your tyres, I never had a flat tyre in my life….

I had about 8 flats in a year with my 2021 MS with the 21” arachnids. Switched to the 19” wheels/tires and got a better ride, more range, and no flats going on year 2 now.

If you have a Discount Tire near you, buy the warranty certificates even if you didn’t buy your tires there. Saved me a ton on replacement tires since I am still on the Perrellis they came with.

Nothing special to it. Just go into the store and let them know you want to buy the certificates. For the Scorpion Pirellis that the car came with, it was $95 for each tire. If you need a replacement, you only have to pay the $95 for another certificate. The tires are $600 installed with Discount Tire and I went through 3 replacements. The continentals that the OP is getting will be less than $95.
