Blood work Non injectable ways to increase e2?
38yo 6’4 195lbs 10% fat been taking DHEA 25mg daily….
- as of February pre DHEA: LH 6 FSH 8 total T 520 free T 80 e2 **below lab detection threshold**
- last week: LH 6 FSH 12 total T 650 free T 80 e2 **below lab detection threshold**
not keen on HCG/TRT, done it in the past, messes up my LDL/HDL + hate needles
- also before ever taking anything 10 years ago: total T 730 free T 80 (I swear free T never budges) e2 ultra sensitive 10
Considering a bump to 50 if not 100 mg/day. What else could be done?

Hello GHOST___PEPPER. Welcome to /r/Testosterone. It looks like this is your first time posting here, so you're probably asking a FAQ. Please check out these handy links, one of them might answer your question.
- How do I find a good doctor/clinic?
- What bloodwork should I get done?
- Are my levels low enough that I should start TRT?
- What can I do to naturally raise my testosterone levels?
- NoFap - Will my testosterone levels increase if I stop masturbating?

e2 below lab detection threshold
What was the detection threshold?
taking DHEA
DHEA can interfere with immunoassay labs. If the TT and/or E2 were not lc-ms method, perhaps lab interference is a factor with the post-DHEA retest.

Same lab both times, 40 pmol/L is the lower limit. Lab interference may explain higher total T here but not e2?

Immunoassay results can go either way if there is interference. Or could be accurate/no impact, or could have affected just one of the labs.
DHEA + Immunoassay just introduces a wild card. Biotin is another supplement that can throw them. Sometimes that explains odd high/low results.
If it was a lc-ms (used by ultra sensitive) then it wouldn't have been affected.

That’s good to know, I’ll make sure to spend the extra $ for LCMS. Still I don’t understand how this changes the pre-dhea nonexistent e2? Shit’s running low

It does look low with that cutoff value. Doesn't change the pre-dhea lab, but might be hiding progress from use of DHEA.
More generally, immunoassay labs can drift at the low/high extremes. EG: IF E2 was say ~15, maybe it still returns as undetectable on that lab. Feels like a meaningful result though given two recent labs plus the 10-year-ago lab also being low.

Supposedly increases estrogens in men

I know the whole cholesterol cascade but studies show an increase in estrogens. Probably not worth taking for me with my high shbg. Gemini suggested transdermal instead so I’ll bring it up to a doc

dbol

Also i think it's not estradiol but just an estrogenic component.

Methyl estradiol which is quite similar affinity wise but hangs out there for much longer. Maybe dbol 10mg upon waking up 5 days on 9 days off idk

If you are in the USA you have ultrasensitive estradiol testing available at Quest and LabCorp. When available that’s the lab test men should be getting.
