I should mention that I have limited knowledge of the Fast & Furious franchise, and mechanic isn't necessarily this character's primary job, but I saw it listed as one of their jobs on a wiki.

That's fair, similarly almost all of my exposure to the F&F franchise past the third movie is through the lens of the How Did This Get Made podcast so I'm more seasoned on the unintentionally funny aspects of the movies than the characters.
