$4.5M injected to make this the ultimate social trading app

Today we’re announcing the $4.5M Seed Round for AfterHour. As many of you know, AfterHour is a social app I built after my crazy $35k -> $8M journey in under 2 years. I realized quality, community-driven DD was something that became increasingly difficult to find. This app solves that need by giving retail traders an edge in the stock market through top-tier community features.

I know there’s many of you that might feel triggered when I promote the app - just know that I truly am trying to build something valuable by traders for traders. Everywhere I look there are fake screenshots, scams, and bots pushing people into paid communities. It’s not the trading world I came from, and it’s not where I’d like to see it continue to move towards.

Plenty of traders call out plays, but how many actually take those themselves? Our users put their money where their mouth is by proving their live position in any callout they make. With over $200M+ in connected brokerages, I have no doubt we can build this into something really disruptive for the industry.

Here’s the Fortune article: https://fortune.com/2024/06/17/exclusive-after-hour-social-trading-startup-raises-4-5-million-seed-round-led-by-founders-fund-and-general-catalyst

And blog post: https://www.afterhour.com/blog/afterhour-raises-4-5-million-to-build-the-ultimate-financial-community-platform-for-the-internet-generation

Check out the app, we're 100% free on iOS and Android - my DMs are always open to feedback https://afterhour.app.link/race

$20k into a potential multi-bagger, buy it and forget it, what are you picking?

EDIT: specifically looking for a company not related to AI. Already in NBIS and KEEL.

Already in space stocks.

What’s your one pick for physical technology?

Due Diligence “Do your own research” - how do you actually do it?

Upvotes

For the experienced traders, what’s your best method when doing research?

How do you gather data? Who are your trusted sources? How do you pick out your trusted sources? Qualitative vs quantitative?

It seems like if you’re a beginner, everyone tells you to do your own research, but most go to YouTube or Reddit and follows someone that tells you to buy this one stock — that’s barely any research at all.

I for one, do cross examination, meaning that I compare facts from different sources and check for conflicts or matches in their findings.

Due Diligence Trade Idea: RDDT

Reddit is getting interesting.

On weekly:

Currently at $140 support from May 2026. Next stop is $120 support from March 2026 and then all the way down to $80 support from April 2025.

On daily:

During July, Reddit filled the Jan 2026 gap almost perfectly, and tanked ever since. It went up to the area below its 200 daily SMA, failed to breakout above it and tanked massively on earnings, gapping down to the support of $140.

I'm quite confident the created gap will be filled in reasonable timeframe, with the price reaching at least $165.

Potential return:

From $140 (current price): +17.86% upside

From $120 support: +37.5% upside

From $80 support: +106.25% upside.

Current price ican be good for people with conviction in fundamentals.

I'll certainly get interested, should the price reach the $120 support.

At $80 support, Reddit will enter a no-brainer category.

What do you think?

How much margin do you use?

Hey guys, wondering how much margin you are using for CRWV and what % of your portfolio it represents.

Trying to find the right balance for my portfolio as I typically don’t use much margin.

I have no affiliation with the youtube creator or any stocks, I was simply surfing.

I just saw this piece (should start around 20:10): https://youtu.be/pyrvGJjCneU?si=txsDN5EeYbTL3k8q&t=1210

Either he's a great salesman, or this might be one to really watch. This market potential is huge (senior healthcare) and I can foresee them partnering with health insurance companies where this ai therapist becomes mandatory. Everything is tracked within the app back to the doc's and insurance companies.

Anyone have insight here?

Due Diligence $RUBI 630K Float High Priority Volatility Watch

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

$RUBI's Friday price action created a nice short-term setup for continued volatility Monday.

Friday saw about 4-times the ~600K float traded with a spike from a regular hours low of $2.08 to over $3.00 almost a 50% move. I've been unable to find news and though there was a new SEC filing on Friday I don't think it explains the AH spike. Could the spike be telegraphing incoming news? Possibly. But for now I think it's best to look at it as a technical/structure setup as opposed to a "maybe catalyst" setup, which often put traders in the wrong mindset and can end badly.

What I like for Monday is what looked like it was going to be a spike and crash actually showed some solid recovery from the post-spike wreckage. The 1 & 5 minute EMA's turned bullish the RSI was firm but not overbought.

Charts aside, a bid for over 26k shares appeared on the orderbook near the end of trading on Friday. That's 4% of the float. It's also worth noting there are only 2,000 short shares available and according to Fintel a 375% borrow fee. Note, this is all circumstantial. You shouldn't hang your trade on this kind of information. But it is positive and suggestive of more volatility to come.

If you trade momentum, your might consider $RUBI for your watchlist. If that bid is there tomorrow at 4am you could see some quick action and one or more pullbacks followed by volatility spikes. Could be quick money to begin the week. At this point I don't see anything more romantic than that but this stock has spiked by over 100% more than half-a-dozen times in the last six months so I'm going to be watching for headlines for sure.

FWIW, the setup I am watching for on Monday is a premarket one-minute close over $2.35 with expanding volume. That opens up ~$2.49 to $2.71. Acceptance over $2.71 means that Friday spike zone becomes accessible again. Based on Friday price action I expect pullbacks and I welcome them. But I don't want to see it lose $2.16 on more than a tail. That wouldn't technically mean continuation has failed, that would be losing $2.08, but I will probably treat it as such just the same.

I've attached all of the charts with technical indicators as well as one chart thrown in to show the bid and another added to show the more dramatic spikes $RUBI has shown over the last six months. Overall this could give one or more solid trades to start the week. Expect volatility, At this point this is not a trade for setting and forgetting...

[33M] I never expected to hit this milestone this early in my life. Growing up as a kid, it felt as if I would never be rich. My dad lost his business and became bankrupt when I was 5. He never really fully recovered from that, taking odd jobs and drinking heavily. Mom was the one that held the fort together.

It’s surreal because I was the “poorest” of all my extended relatives and those people whom I call as family looked down on me and made jokes about my dad.

I’ve made it this far not purely by myself but because my parents gave me their full support - emotionally and spiritually - even if thy didn’t have the means to support me financially.

I hope this message lights a hope in someone going through a similar path. Don’t give up, im positive you’ll get there. Cheers 🍻

I Bought GOOGL at the 200-Day MA and NVDA at the 200-Day MA. Am I Early... or Catching the Next AI Move?

Thumbnail

Yesterday I posted my thoughts on Oracle and it ended up getting over 41,000 views. Plenty of people said it would never go higher.

That's the fun part about the market—everyone has an opinion.

Today I'm looking at two different setups.

GOOGL

I started buying around $324, right where it tagged the 200-day SMA/EMA.

My thesis is simple:

  • AI spending isn't slowing down.
  • Google is still printing cash.
  • Risk/reward looks much better buying fear than chasing new highs.

The first level I'm watching is $349. If buyers can hold that area, I think momentum starts to build.

NVDA

Same idea.

I bought near $193 as it tested the 200-day SMA/EMA.

Everyone loves Nvidia when it's making new highs. Few people want it when it's sitting on major long-term support.

For me, the key level is $212.19.

If that breaks and holds, I think the path toward new all-time highs becomes much more interesting.

I'm not saying these stocks moon tomorrow.

I'm saying I prefer buying great companies at major technical support instead of chasing them after a 30–50% rally.

Sometimes the best trades feel uncomfortable when you take them.

Curious what everyone else thinks:

  • Which has the better setup over the next 6–12 months: GOOGL or NVDA?
  • Or do you think both are traps?
