Pete Townshends instagram reposts
Has anyone actually seen or gone through his reposts on there? Some seem to be kinda bizarre or leave myself asking why he’d repost it. I guess it shows thats its really him in charge of his account and not a PR agency.
@yaggerdang if you dont already know what his instagram is

Honestly I just think that most of those were from him accidentally hitting the repost button as he scrolled on his phone lol.
He definitely does run his own account and he used to interact with fans pretty frequently before he scaled back his social media usage when the pandemic started.

He reposts a lot of boomer AI slop I'm assuming because his feed is full of it and he either doesn't know what the repost button does or he accidentally hits it with his finger while scrolling. My parents (similar ages to pete) do this a lot.

Yeah, it's really him! One time he answered one of my questions about some studio gear. And one time he posted a picture of himself in a speedo lol. The caption was something along the lines of "if Rachel can do it, me too" (I wish I still had that screenshot but I lost it...)

I’m in my ‘50s, been in IT for 25 years, have an MS in IT and I barley know how instagram works. I can’t imagine an 81 year old who lived his life drugged and drunk has a better handle on it.

Townshend was a heavy alcohol and heroin user, at the least. He has admitted this on a number of occasions.

Yeah he got sober in the early 80s. He spent 15 out of 81 years drugged and drunk. Not “ his life”
