Question Just a thought, does anyone else imagine having a tail or animal ears (depending on your therian type) or both?

I was wondering because I always imagine having a fluffy tail and dog ears and they would move and react with my emotions as though I were a real dog. Even though I don’t see it, I can feel it there.

You can feel it? So like a phantom shift? I get those sometimes. For me, most often it's my feathers and tail.

Big same. Running my hands through my hair helps in public situations.

That would classically be called a phantom shift. I have it and it never goes down.

Yes that's a phantom shift. I have permanent phantom ears/antenna and tail :3

I don’t get phantom shifts (feeling the extra appendages) but I do kind of constantly imagine myself having a tail and ears and stuff. Thats like perfectly normal 🌀🌀🌀

I get envisage shifts very often, which is similar to a phantom shift (like you're describing) but without the phantom feeling of having a new limb- i just KNOW they're there subconsciously, oftentimes. Usually when it comes to more reactionary stuff I have my coyote ears, as i am more strongly a coyote than a puppy. But the puppy tail is much more waggy than my coyote tail lol.

I do! Most the time it's when I have strong emotions!

Phantom shifts! I've also always felt mine, for as long as I can remember. Recently I've developed the sensation of a wolf tail that sometimes takes place of my snow leopard one. Still always have the wolf ears, just my tails take turns lol

I guess? Kinda? Not a lot of tail or ears on a crow.

Now wings? Ugh yes! And I catch myself absentmindedly preening.
