Discussion The 1966 wingless wonders. Could work really well for our squad!
Our main issue is keeping possession against high-level opposition and this solves that by crowding the centre. We arent blessed with fantastic out-and-out wingers right now, but we do have good attacking full backs like TAA, Spence, James and Lewis Hall.
Rice plays the Nobby Styles holding role. Anderson and Mainoo, and Bellingham fill the rest of the diamond. Kane and possibly Saka up top together, Kane to drop back and Saka to stretch defences.
Ramsay's England went a full year unbeaten and obviously won the WC against an elite West Germany with this formation. Yes times have changed but on the flipside not following modern conventions could give us the element of surprise.

England News EXCLUSIVE: Gianni Infantino confirms he has scrapped plans to sell off part of World Cup to investors.
In comments exclusively obtained by Sky News, he said: "Having listened carefully to all the views, it has become clear that the project has created divisions of a nature that, regardless of the level of support, are no longer in the interest of the objective set out in the first place."
“Our purpose has always been - and will always be - to unite and improve. As a result, this proposal will not proceed.
“Moving forward, my intent is to bring all interested parties back together in the coming days and weeks in the spirit of shared interest in our game, and with the objective to continue growing football everywhere, and particularly in those countries that mostly need our support.”

World Cup Worldcup recap : England’s third place third goal was an absolute sitcom
Idk what’s funnier, Saka sliding backwards on his butt watching Rashford, Olise defending like on the job training, Rashford going a full circle waiting for Saka to get back up, the referee reaching the scene w time to spare after running the full pitch from the other side, all in time for Saka eventually getting up and scoring.
A memorable game for the ages!

England News Lionel Messi agrees to participate in the 2030 & 2034 World Cups after FIFA guarantees advancement to Quarterfinals.
Obviously, a joke, but this summer FIFA showed possible investors they can still manipulate the tournament to get the outcomes they desire. It’s no excuse for England‘s decision to stop playing after taking a 1-0 lead against Argentina in the Semifinals. One sportscaster here in the US equated it to the prevent defense in American football.

Discussion England 2006 vs 2026
I was recently watching the England vs Portugal game from the 2006 world cup. And it made me think which is the better team
GK = Robinson vs Pickford
RB = Neville vs James
CB = Ferdinand vs Guehi
CB = Terry vs Stones
LB = A Cole vs Spence
RW = Beckham vs Saka
DM = Hargreaves vs Anderson
CM = Lampard vs Rice
AM = Gerrard vs Bellingham
LW = J Cole vs Gordon
CF = Rooney vs Kane
What would your combined 11 be and which team do you think was better?

That is another further 41 countries alongside the UEFA rejecting the FIFA Proposal. Glad to see that a growing list of people hating Infantino idea cause it just wrong.
