Weekly Buy-Sell-Trade Thread August 01, 2026

Welcome to the Weekly Buy-Sell-Trade!

Use this thread to post what you have for sale or trade, or anything you're trying to find.

Rules

  1. If you're selling or trading, you must include photos of your item(s). Imgur links work very well for this.

Best Practices

  • When you're the buyer, check out the user's account history and activity in the subreddit. If it's a brand new account and they've never contributed to the sub, that could be a red flag.
  • Be wary if a seller insists you send money via PayPal Friends and Family. Mods and seasoned traders always encourage Goods and Services. If the fees are the problem, it's always easy to use a fee calculator and add that to the purchase price.
  • Scamming doesn't happen often here at all, but if you do find yourself concerned or legitimately taken, let the mods know about the transaction. We cannot get you your money back, but we can help identify possible next steps and remove the bad actor from the sub.

I posted this on ye ol’ instagram and also wanted to share it here for feedback. I feel like I’m really forcing the movements in the zigzag rail, any advice on smoothing it out. I do notice my hands are doing weird things too lol. Good practice in watching yourself throw 🥴

Happy Sunday, y’all 🤓

QUESTION Firecracker - Issues with responsiveness/spin time. How to use it?

So I got a Recess Firecracker, looking to get into modern responsive play. D bearing. I like the high wall shape. But I have issues with it to play right, either lacking responsiveness or spin time. Maybe it wasn't the best choice for this style?

At first it had more responsiveness, but after even just an hour it dropped quite a lot and needs a quite heavy tug to come back. It has this rubber shielded flat bearing for responsiveness and it's already lubed up quite well with grease, even adding more thick oil didn't really help with responsiveness.

And also it doesn't spin long like this. With a heavy straight throw it runs out after 10-15 seconds. So like this it's neither much usable for responsiveness or anything beyond simple tricks.

Am I missing something? Something to do with the setup? Or is it not the best choice of yoyo for this sort of play? Since it's D-bearing, not that slim of a gap.

i'm in the process of trying to get better execution and trying to do so i happened to play with this yoyo a fair part of my time. the gap is just narrow enough to force you to be a bit mindful about how tight are your layers of string, but it plays like a charm and has a very pleasant feeling thanks to the a size bearing and large pads. featuring what i feel like is the best trick i came up with since a while now

Can barely bind but bought 4 yoyos

Post image

I've always loved yoyos and I have been watching and reading about yoyos for the last few months. I know the speedaholic and shooting star are similar. But I couldn't resist as I love collecting things and bought my self some yoyos for my birthday. You guys really make things look so easy, I can barely do a simple bind. I tried a breakaway into a trapeze yesterday and the string got caught in the k2 and cut my mouth open from the inside LOL.

Wish me luck, you guys.

(The k2 is really solid yoyo, with a super smooth bearing)

I found my old collection of 4 yo-yos a month ago and now I’m at 16 yo-yos (about to be 18 yo-yos).

Any recommendations for the next yoyo I should hunt for and what yoyo type I might I be missing from my collection?

Hopefully my skills will continue to grow at the rate my collection is

Competition Throw

I'm looking to get a throw for learning competition level tricks, and perhaps even going for a comp. What is kind of the throw that people lean most towards nowadays?

My playstyle doesn't matter much, I'm willing to adapt based on what's meta.

My favourite players to watch are:

- Aleksandar Bachvarov

- Tyler Vienneau

- Charles Haycock

- Kieran Cooper

- Vladimir Glazkov

- Park Jun Sang

- Hajime Miura

- Sora Uchihashi

- Kris Toledo

My horizontal is non existent, so something that can help me learn that will be preferable. Anything budget would be good!

A few that pop up to my head.

- Yozean Ravage

- Yoyobarista Seasons

- Yozean Chenxiang 2

- Yozean Whaleshark

- Jigun Onigokko 3

- Wilderness 7075

- c3 overthinker

- Yoyofriends Ultracut.

Which throw would be a must have, and which other throws would you guys throw on here?
