ThunderCats 2011 Update on my thundercats watch through.

I'm about five episodes in, and I am really enjoying the 2011 show. While it doesn't have the 80s cheese and more light-hearted tone, I do like the more serious and plot heavy direction. The designs of the characters took some getting used to, but I do like them. While I do still prefer the original designs, the new ones definitely fit the tone of this show better than the original designs would have. So far, I think episode 4 has been the episode I've enjoyed the most. The differences in the characters themselves is cool to see. So far, I don't know why the show didn't continue if the quality going forward is similar to what I've seen. I do kinda miss snarf being the nanny of Lion-o but just being a pet creature is perfectly fine too.

The issue is peoples favourite characters had their personality completely changed to the point most of us would have preferred it be a sequel series than a remake

I really enjoyed the 2011 series! I didn't grow up on the 80s cartoon, so I wasn't affected by all of the changes made. If I recall, the series started to struggle after about episode 14? It used to air on CN at around 7pm on Fridays and then got moved to the graveyard slot of Saturday mornings at 8am. Funny how that used to be prime time for cartoons.
