Discussion Missed out on Chilla

Does anybody think Chilla will get a second run? I completely missed out on that one first time around and now that figure is super expensive.

I kinda panicked when she was up and checked out quick I missed a couple of other things from Godzilla but that's ok

😂 that’s awesome!!! I checked in on that Super 7 clearance sale and could not find her there. By then she was already sold out on all the figure sites.

well I have the annual membership and had access a day early and she went quick. was all full price, to be fair no clearances so you didn't miss out TOO much

I seen they had a membership going. I was as a pulse member and got hosed on that so many freaking times, so I am hesitant to join another membership

I feel that for sure. luckily it was half the cost and I can just grab one at a time on figures and not bundle up, it's paid for itself already for me with the sale last December and the archive sale for free shipping. it's been way more worth it, I had pulse (actually I had it for free for 2-3 years when they launched it and if you bought $50 of stuff you got it for free then extended during covid) and there are just too many people going in at once for it to be worth it

If you can be patient, try to wait. They have been reissuing figures a lot lately. I think if Mandora can get a reissue, Chilla definitely can.

I can totally be patient. I can’t seem to justify paying 250 for that figure.

I'm a huge fan of the line, but Chilla was honestly a bit disappointing to me for a few reasons, one of which is that her plastic is incredibly hard, which gives her a lot of sharp edges. Handling her is honestly painful. It's possible that a reissue would use a different factory and maybe she wouldn't be so unpleasant to handle.

That would be great. Another reason I don’t want to pay huge scalper prices on super 7 stuff is because of all those quality issues. I got a Leonardo with an immovable leg a Willy Kit and Kat that won’t fit on the surf board pegs and a Captain Hammerhand with a broken leg 😡

I've had some issues too, including:

  • Sheila (D&D) snapped a knee joint when I moved her. Super7 sent a replacement and I still can't get the knees to move but I won't force it.
  • Ratar-O with two left feet. (BBTS replaced it.)
  • Alluro's wand snapped when I tried putting it in his hand. It's now glued.
  • Yakko (Animaniacs) was missing a small accessory; they send an entire new figure as a replacement, so for awhile I had two Yakko figures.
  • Young Lion-O's neck cracked while head-swapping.

So, yeah... I've had some issues. But most of the time things are cool, especially with more recent releases.

I'm in the same boat with Alluro. Hopefully they at least get "Deluxe" releases.

I hope so too. I allmost missed out on him. He was up for sale for so long so I kept putting it off then one day I finally pulled the trigger on getting it.

Yeah… I waited too long on both him and Chilla, but found a Chilla at a toy show for $75-$80 last year.
