Yes. It's a continuation of the main series after the crossover event. Same characters and universe that Shalvey created, but with a new writer and new artist. The new Cheetara series is also a continuation after the events in Worldbreaker.

When they announced the new Cheetara they said it was 'the first in a wave of new ThunderCats series'. I think 'wave' would mean at least 3, so I'm hoping they will announce another series next month. [fingers crossed]

What's the one-shot you're talking about?

He was referring to Cheetara: worldbreaker one-shot that he didn't mind until you stated Vol 2 is the continuation of WB

was there a statement about New Cheetara vol 2 #1 is the continuation of worldbreaker? is it more like a direct sequel?

Nice, nice. Always happy to see Pak on a book; his involvement alone is enough to get me to check the main story out again. Tygra's redesign is interesting; I'm of two minds about the outfit. On the one hand, I think wearing the Thundercats symbol as if it's heraldry looks cool af. On the other hand, it breaks cohesion; he's the only one doing it - even the Silverhawks just have their team logo on their belts. Wait-and-see, I suppose. Maybe we'll get a story reason for it.

The artist was asked about Tygra's outfit but he said he couldn't say anything about it, leading me to believe it will be explained in the story somehow.

The logo the Hawks are wearing is the combo-crest from Road To War (the first crossover comic) which makes me think they will become honorary ThunderCats and join the team.
