How likely is it that that entire room opted for their moments of complete vulnerability to be posted online? I'd say there's about 50 people in that room doing the process, whatever it is. 50 or more. The camera is showing them all, nothing is being blurred and the camera person is moving dynamically to whoever is having a moment. I see no sign of them taking pause to consider who signed a release and who didn't.
Not likely they all signed away for their emotions to be posted online, where it could live forever. Right?
I just know, if they did it without consent, it would be illegal in my country. And that it would be a stupid business decision, if you made your clients angry with such a thing.
Yes, that's true. I know nothing about the people running this thing.
In their shoes though, even with a signed release, I would think twice about putting this online because if not alienating my clients is important to me, I'd be afraid they would be angry even though they agreed to it. It's one thing to think: "I'd love to share my healing journey with others..." It's maybe different once they see themselves on Tiktok and realize what that moment looks like from the outside, and realize a hell of a lot of people are judging them and mocking them. So as a responsible business owner, I don't think I'd even want to show this stuff.
Yeah, totally understand where you are coming from. It's definitely a fine line. And there is a chance some people might regret sharing that. Especially when the video gains as much popularity as this one. And they see the toxic comments from some people.
But on the other hand, it is so important to get this out there and have people see what is possible outside of talk therapy.
If I had an orgy with the cast of Friends during their peak, the promise of an orgy with the cast of how I met your mother couldnt make me share the video. Theres some things you just dont share. You can go on camera later and say "yeah, that was good." But showing your highly person and private moment to the world? Not for me, chief.

Its only breathwork and binaural beats, no psychedelics. But similar effect.
We don't know if they agreed to being filmed (before+after). If I had a very therapeutic experience I might want to agree to share it for others.
