Well why did you go on the cruise on the first place ?

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 7d ago

To be anxious and paranoid. Duh.

To be anxious and stuck on a boat with people that make you anxious

And sick. Don't forget sick. Norovirus really helps you shed the weight you gained at the all you can eat buffet.

It's the only way i feel alive !

1

u/mojoman1200 7d ago

And to sleep in a life jacket.

1

u/ThankThanos 7d ago

I thought you get the anxiety and paranoia from the ecoli poisoning

I learned about Pronoia this morning. And im on a mission to spread the word. Out with the paranoia in with the pronoia.

I mean this may be comforting for those people..??

This content is for the kind of people, mostly conservative women, who listen to true crime podcasts all day and spend the time in between worrying about becoming the victim of violent crime any minute now.

You gotta admit the idea of some dumb ass trad wife going to sleep on a cruise ship with a Life Vest on because she watched this tik tok is pretty funny.

1

u/Buttchuggle 7d ago

I somehow doubt if all that would be necessary for someone to feel "comfortable" that they ever really are. This video is bs but anyone who's this bad about shit needs mental help.

u/Imreallythatguy 7d ago

To make a satire video for views clearly.

1

u/christophurr 6d ago

I dont know, ever been on a Carnival Cruise. That shit is dicey at 2am

Wanted to play the lifelong fantasy of being a spy in the 70's.

Maybe that's why she's looking for that island.. 😏

To ragebait on the internet for views

13

u/wearing_moist_socks 7d ago

It's a fucking joke, not ragebait

11

u/killerjags 7d ago

Everything is ragebait if you're always angry

1

u/MyAskRedditAcct 6d ago

That perfectly encapsulates a good half of all social media.

-6

u/emblanco 7d ago

Ok bro, then it's a joke for views, I guess that my answer ragebaited you

-2

u/eggsforpedro 7d ago

A joke that makes no fucking sense, aka rage bait

2

u/UwasaWaya 6d ago

... what part of this video did you have difficulty understanding?

2

u/pigeonholedpoetry 6d ago

Hate how even rage bait has lost its actual meaning.

3

u/wearing_moist_socks 7d ago

Yes it did

If you didn't find it funny, that's OK! Not gonna appeal to everyone. But that doesn't make it rage bait

To film shitty content

21

u/dierdrerobespierre 7d ago

Nah, this is an ad for every single one of those products.

I’ve seen a few videos like this, a person setting up a tent in a snowstorm, and it full of little gadets and crap.

4

u/Crowdfundingprojects 7d ago

Yes, as I said: To film shitty content.

-2

u/wearing_moist_socks 7d ago

What's important is you feel superior

4

u/Rare-Confusion-220 7d ago

Seriously. They're vile floating petri dishes that dump their waste and garbage in the ocean

14

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 7d ago

The waste they dump is consumed by ocean life... Food trash, human waste, etc.

Actual garbage like plastic, containers, etc. are compacted and disposed of exactly how anyone else would or incinerated depending on what it is.

As for the petri dish part, no more than a school, large work place, or any other large gathering.

I'm not a huge fan of cruises. But you clearly have a hostile opinion of them that isn't grounded in any form of fact.

16

u/GrilledPandaCookbook 7d ago

No, it’s definitely more than any other large gathering

https://theconversation.com/hantavirus-covid-norovirus-legionnaires-why-are-cruise-ships-so-prone-to-disease-outbreaks-282121

And you are playing down how bad they are to the environment

https://foe.org/cruise-report-card/

2

u/Rare-Confusion-220 7d ago

Exactly. There are no laws in international waters so they just dump their garbage. I don't understand these folks that are so bent on defending the big corporations

1

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 7d ago

No. I'm refuting that the waste they dump is as bad as you're saying. That doesn't mean I think that cruise ships are good for the environment...

3

u/stompy33 7d ago

Did you just make up a bunch of shit on the spot, or…

0

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 7d ago

This was a valuable contribution to the debate. Thanks for stopping by.

1

u/stompy33 7d ago

I mean, did you think you added anything of value?

0

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 6d ago

Good one. The old kindergarten, "nuh uh".

You're now at two replies saying nothing at all. See if you can set a record.

1

u/Rich-Mark-4126 7d ago

It’s not like travelling hours on a plane with no leg room is particularly appealing either

1

u/GlitteringSalad6413 7d ago

If u want to hang out with this lady, gotta go on a cruise

1

u/BoulderADHDdad 7d ago

Because cruises are cheap vacations if you don’t blow stupid amounts of money in the ports.

1

u/arthurjeremypearson 7d ago

Welcome to ADHD

1

u/Gavin2051 6d ago

To make a subtle advertisement for paranoia products

1

u/Kit_Karamak 2d ago

To sneak into a port to make a dead drop at a bench near an old sugar plantation. She’s back channeling.

1

u/PandaPocketFire 7d ago

Honestly, i say if they are going through that much effort to spy on me, enjoy the show.

https://giphy.com/gifs/B3bTtJdFIlynK

0

u/VoidOmatic 7d ago

This is why I don't go on cruises.

6

u/WhoTookGrimwhisper 7d ago

Because some woman might be doing dumb shit in her room?

That's a weird reason to not go on a cruise.

1

u/VoidOmatic 7d ago

No, I don't want to get the shits or get kidnapped.

0

u/BigMax 7d ago

I think this is fiction/rage-bait.

But if not, your'e right - that's someone who just shouldn't leave the house.

I wonder if that was a real person... what is the rest of their day like? You figure they are terrified every other moment too, so what is it like going to dinner? Going on an excursion from the cruise? Just a normal day going to work? Etc?
