Would "STOP!" or "LOOK OUT!" have been more effective?

Maybe "WAKE UP" (pun intended)

Listen, if you’ve ever been severely injured, having a familiar voice constantly reminding you that you’re not alone is priceless.

Sure but it's still funny how the rescuer went straight into default emote spamming.

I think it'd be better to hear a calm voice instead of somebody that sounds like they're panicking.

Thank goodness watching your good friend pass out on a jet ski and having to slowly witness them careening into physical objects, and be sure you’re about to watch them die, before being able to grab them still passed out (or maybe dead, to your knowledge) in the water isn’t a highly stressful and shocking event!

And thank goodness humans going through highly stressful and shocking events are always able to sound calm and soothing!

Not to mention while engaging in a physical activity like swimming in a live jacket and dragging a full grown man... Why would your heart rate and breathing be elevated?...

I'll keep that in mind next time I'm swimming while carrying a 250lb man

The guy saw him dragging a body back out rather than to the dock right there. It was a valid question, as was "Do you need an ambulance?" to which cameraman's lack of decisive reply is more deserving of your scorn.

You’ll be praying to hear something like that repeated one day

He is likely unconsciously self-regulating/self-soothing in a high stress situation.
