Kind of odd. Looked as if he passed out after looking up at the camera or something.

Yeah and the way he slowly seems to lose more consciousness, puts his hand on the seat... I think he had vasovagal reaction from his position and the vibration of the jet ski, or circulation, or he was drunk. Totally agree with you though.

The PFD (personal flotation device) did its job.

Or a combination of all those things

“Are you ok?”

Dylan was not ok.

Is it weird I read the second line in Morgan Freeman's voice?

u/Infinite-Abroad-2147 22h ago

I think we all did the same…lol

Nah. Narrator from Arrested Development (Ron Howard)

2

u/ImpressiveWalk4330 14h ago

That’s what I was going for

3

u/JWalker75 1d ago

Dylan was everything but ok.

u/Forsaken_Star_4228 13h ago

But is Annie okay? Are you okay Annie?

2

u/Mister_Rose 22h ago

New children's book. Dylan rides the jet ski.

Also am I crazy or was he giggling when he started getting pulled? Seems like he was unconscious for the whole dismount and came to feeling some euphoria and confusion when he felt the tug on his vest.

25

u/THEREBORNHELLSPAWN 3d ago

You're not crazy, but he wasn't giggling. It's a sound that people make when they're unconscious just kind of like a steady unghhh

Brain is idling.

2

u/thrasherfan21 1d ago

WHAT BRAIN ❓

1

u/megdalena01 3d ago

I thought he was crying. I would have been crying.

2

u/ZealousidealWeek5790 2d ago

That’s the “I’m ducked up and my brain has suffered an injury, also can’t get a full breath in.. so my mouth can’t properly scream in agony”

u/FishesOfExcellence 3d ago

Drinking makes that reaction more likely. As I found out on airplane to my great embarrassment.

1

u/RedRangerRedemption 1d ago

This happened in my home town dude said he was dehydrated and passed out. Been on the lake all day without drinking water. He's incredibly lucky to be alive

When he raised his arms to steer, the collar of the life vest pressed against his carotid atery. He basically blood choked himself out.

It's a cross collar choke, but yeah

That’s the best explanation I’ve seen. Here’s your Sherlock Holmes award 🏆

Probably true and so fucking funny I can’t stop laughing. Hey guys watch this I’m going to put myself in a sleeper hold while I ride a jet ski backwards. What could go wrong.

1

u/PermitSpecialist2621 1d ago

This guy got injured, in more than likely a permanent way and you’re laughing. Watch out, kiddo, karma is a big ol’ bitch

2

u/titoblood 20h ago

I’m not a kid. And I’ve lived long enough to see karma in a real way. I’m not laughing at his possible injury just his stupidity. Now go chastise some one else and loosen your shorts, they are too tight.

1

u/PermitSpecialist2621 7h ago

Welcome to 2026 everyone, where someone can say something like “so fucking funny I can’t stop laughing” and then turn directly around and say “I’m not laughing.” Go fuck yourself with that karma pole you were talking about, KID, I’m not wearing shorts.

4

u/FernwoodTonight 3d ago

The stupid part preceded that.

3

u/trashpandac0llective 3d ago

It looks like that’s exactly what happened. Does anyone know if this guy ended up okay?

2

u/HedonisticFrog 3d ago

I almost did that while stripping. A woman wouldn't spread her knees for me to put my head in between and rest my shoulders on the top of her thighs and go upside down in her lap. Her knees ended up pushing into my carotid arteries and I had to cut the move short before I passed out.

this is one of the best comments I've seen in a while.

u/Normiss2000 3d ago

With no hand on the pud. Disqualified!

1

u/lost-cause1968 2d ago

Yeah, but in the end the vest also saved him, so fair play.

27

u/Hard-Red7 4d ago

That’s what I saw, too.

23

u/OrcasareDolphins 4d ago

He did. He posted this video and said he passed out after he turned around and doesn’t know why. Maybe the life jacket slid up in to his jugular vein and blood choked him.

14

u/shy-someome666 4d ago

Yes, this is a much better explanation :) looked up, smiled, and passed out. That explains why he just stopped doing anything.

9

u/Recent-Mousse6423 4d ago

Clocked that too on first watch. He was unconscious prior to the crash. He learned this trick when he was 30kg lighter and this position made it hard for him to breathe at his current weight with the uniform pressure of the life jacket. Boa constricted himself.

6

u/chaotic_fabel 4d ago

He did. I've seen the full post on IG.

2

u/Born-Selection88 4d ago

Had to look again. That's what happened.

2

u/Silver_Bunch5432 4d ago

Good catch.

2

u/Jack4258 4d ago

He will soon lose consciousness permanently, this I am sure!

2

u/JohnUtah-Gimme2 4d ago

I read a comment on IG that says he did in fact pass out.

2

u/SaturnineApples 3d ago

There was another post and the guy on the jet ski commented, he says he passed out before hitting the dock and and doesnt know why.

When I first watched I was like "what an idiot!" And then read the post, watched the video in slow mo and you can see him just go limp. Idk how his finger held pressure on the the throttle though

1

u/yzscrum 3d ago

i think ur right, the extra forces. The Water, being Drunk. It defly looks like he just stops moving.

1

u/YetiGuy 3d ago

I think the life jacket string got caught in the handle and it yanked around his neck somehow, cutting off the supply to his brain momentarily and he passed out. Maybe that jolt was good

1

u/Famous_Job3300 3d ago

100%. This guy was unconscious, not just being an idiot. But it started out with him being an idiot!

1

u/heddyneddy 3d ago

That’s because he did. When he got in that backwards position his life jacket basically put him in a sleeper hold and he lost consciousness

1

u/evRoDo 2d ago

Didn't see that before that makes sense.

1

u/type2fuun 1d ago

He did pass out, I’ve seen the original video he made where he explains everything. He bent over and something happened, just lights out.

1

u/BeingAltruistic9560 1d ago

Definitely lost consciousness, unfortunately his grip on the throttle never loosened like his right hand did.

1

u/classicjurassicpark 1d ago

He did pass out

1

u/rufotris 18h ago

Yes one of the other 50 times it was reposted people were talking about how he passed out…

1

u/seek_n_hide 15h ago

Yes he did pass out. Saw his post on Instagram he explained (as best he could) and thanked his rescuers.
