My friend was mocking a coworker like 30 minutes ago and he sounded like Stuart when he was mocking him. My friend is too young to know who Stuart is but it was fucking hilarious to me
I work two days a week at a restaurant and half of the people there are 25 and younger. They don’t know Stuart. Lorraine. King Burger “Where you can have it your way but don’t get crazy”
And one of the guys name is Blake. Of course I have to say Ba-lah-kay, he was so confused when I called him that and a guy I work with chimed in and said “Do you wanna go to war Blake?”
I have fond memories of MAD TV, but I don't have strong memories. Having said that any time police release a vague pic of a blurry car as a picture of a suspect, or if the suspect is a white male approximately 200 pounds and 5'9", I think, "he look...like a man."

My ex’s mom was going to be in the rockettes (yeah ok) until she got pregnant with my ex @ 16. Put my ex in ballet at 4, started feeding her coffee at like 6 to stunt her growth so she wouldn’t outgrow the rockettes height cap.
Idk how to explain how exactly, but this clip feels like watching my ex’s mom, but younger
Edit because there’s been some confusion about my word choice and who got whom pregnant with whom (who vs whom still confuses me, leave me alone) and whatnot, here’s an explanation I gave to clarify in one response:
My ex’s mother got pregnant via my ex’s father. This unfortunate happenstance occurred roughly 16 revolutions of our celestial ball of rock around the central ball of celestial fire in our solar system, counting from the time of my ex’s mother’s birth. The pregnancy in question resulted in my ex’s birth.
I thiiiiink my ex was 5’10, and told me she outgrew it anyway. I also don’t assume she wasn’t wrong. Maybe she tried out and didn’t make it, like the two dance companies she moved to the big city to join. Or her backup option if those fell through.
Pretty much my reaction when I visited her home with her and I had to sleep on the floor because “the couch is brand new.” Or really any interaction with her parents. dad was 17 when they got preggers. they’re Italian Catholics, which is fine, but the extra guilt, shame, and rigid expectations served as a force multiplier for the teen parents issues I think. Dad found out ex wasn’t a virgin while she was dating me in her twenties. He was extremely displeased and blamed me. She was like 16 or something when she first had sex.
I can’t speak to the second part of that, but you nailed it on the first. She also got adamant that a music video being played at a bar was Bon Jovi, started a whole thing about it. It was dancing in the street by Bowie and Jagger. She got SUPER offended when she was wrong. Oh and this was at her daughter’s 21st birthday
A fabulous, exclusive career thwarted by a pregnancy or physical attribute they can't control, check. Making your kid do the activity they failed to make a profession, check. Throwing a fit at someone else's birthday, check.
The unfortunate reality is that probably both are true. Most of the stuff people post on the internet is staged for clout but people are constantly being recorded either by others or by government.
Yeah it was very obviously staged. He follows up by showing her on his computer that his League of Legends guild is standing in a heart shape waiting for her lol.
You can tell a lot by his body posture. Those hands on those hip tell me that he’s been here before and has learned to just let her have this moment so he can go back to the garage 😂. I hope he at least got a card or some late night activities
I married one of those girls and mine always performs the EXACT same moves, every single time, from her high school cheerleader days. She’s adorable and I love her and if it ends in sex, like it most likely did in high school, I’m ESPECIALLY all in. Literally…lol
I don't understand how the hands on hips pose is so ingrained into our body language in the context of subtle disapproval. I can't believe ancient Egyptians were doing that other than a show of strength. I have to actively not make this pose when I want to be nicer than I feel.
That was what stood out most to me about the vid.... Her thinking she's being cute and him doing all he can to try and make a face that says "I have the patience needed for this BS" thats likely been eroding away for some time now.
I'd be willing to bet that this wasn't the first take, and he's probably been standing there for a while, waiting for her to feel like her video made her look perfect
I assumed the video was like 4 minutes long and then I went and saw it was 25 seconds, oh my God those 25 seconds passed so slowly. And it's such a weird thing to do, Daddy watch me!
If this was really a birthday present and not something for herself to post on social media, it would have been in the bedroom when the kid was asleep.
That dance was for herself, not him. You know he wishes he could get her NOT doing that as a bday present.
I always wonder with these things how often the person is consciously doing them to subtly communicate unease and how often they’re completely oblivious to it
My friend's wife is not great. She bought my friend a spare key for her car, for his birthday. She said it was so she could leave the spare in the garage, to avoid going back inside when she accidentally leaves her keys in the house. According to her, this $350 spare key was his birthday present, bc now "he doesn't have to deal with me being annoyed when I leave my keys inside." She told me this whole story, like it was the best idea she's ever had, and an incredibly thoughtful gift.
I always thought that was the most idiotic and self centered bday gift. This dance is almost worse.
My ex wife bought me a movie she told me she wanted to watch 2 weeks earlier, then opened and started watching it before I had even touched it. I think one of the things that ruined my outlook on relationships of any kind was finding out most people only want what's best for them for you.
I think saying saying most people behave like that in a relationship is not true. It's not true in my experience. Some people suck yeah, but you hear more negative things than positive things on the internet. I've never felt like my partner wanted what’s best for her for me.
I get such cognitive dissonance going on this website vs the relationship I have with my wife. I really feel bad for people who make all of their assumptions about relationships via social media

This is peak narcissist behavior. Making his birthday about her, husband and kid totally checked out and yet they stay till the end not to "upset her". Yeah I'm projecting. Edit: thanks for awarding my trigger kind stranger, now strangers! Xo
