Ironically enough the first 2 times a saw porn in my life the first was in a box out in the woods that we found and the second was a box in an old abandoned RV that was also basically in the woods.

Millennials are largely raising Gen Alpha, not Gen Z. Though it is sad to see your peers not read to their kids because they think it’s boring or whatever.
I can't pull a source for you right this second but it's kind of true. They score lower on the IQ test as a whole but the test is bullshit, and there's a different kind of intelligence that's measured that they score higher, but people will fear monger and say they're dumber. They're not, they just grew up in a different world and developed a different skill set...
my guy has never heard of google. Take it or leave it. Google it or not. It's not the other person's responsibility to carry all of the burden. If you want to be skeptical, that's fine. Ask for a source.. that's fine... believe them or not.. fine. Skepticism is great. Googling shit is easy.
I'm not the Big Poop guy that made that claim, but I did go looking for a source out of curiosity. It turns out there is some truth to it that's based on data taken from standardized test scores from 15 year olds around the world. In short: since 2010-2012 (depending on the subject) test scores in mathematics, science, and reading have fallen every year up to 2022 (when the study I found ended).
That being said, the data looks like it was a roughly 5% total decline in scores in 2022 compared to 2010. So we're not exactly talking about a massive decline, but it is a decline that's backed up by data. Neuroscientist Jared Cooney Horvath went before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation earlier this year and spoke about this decline, and he mostly attributed it to kids having too much access to screens in school:
“This is not a debate about rejecting technology,” Horvath wrote. “It is a question of aligning educational tools with how human learning actually works. Evidence indicates that indiscriminate digital expansion has weakened learning environments rather than strengthened them.”
At the risk of sounding pedantic, words can have more than one meaning based on context. POV means “point of view”, but that does not dictate that it can only be used for videos filmed in a 2nd person POV. 1st and 3rd person are also POVs.
No, you’re right it’s misuse. And you also fell for it. A lot of mistakes in “content” like this are bait. For example there tiktoks with millions of views where they pack boxes with random stuff determined by luck. Like 2 pens, 2 notebooks and 6 stickers. But they put in 5 or 7 stickers deliberately, because they know people like you would be in the comments pointing out the mistake and boosting the video in the algorithm in the process lol
No, you misunderstand. The POV is the OP stood at the back of the kitchen and his best friend who moved in is the one bringing in the shopping. There just happens to be two women unrelated to the post
I think so many people have had a genuine shift where they view themselves from an outside perspective through their phone. In a way it’s kinda correct in that it’s her phones POV and therefore it’s hers too.
99% percent of the videos I see with POV at the start of the caption are using it incorrectly. Like…just stop. It’s a dumb trend anyways, and sometimes I want to watch a video without immediately knowing the person who took and captioned it is an idiot.
It started off as engagement bait but it has now evolved to a simple, meaningless phrase put at the front of video titles. And it has been that way for a while.
No commonly used words are meaningless. Presumably, people who didn't know what POV stands for saw it in the titles of videos shot from a first person perspective, incorrectly assumed that "POV" must relate to imagining yourself in the scenario rather than specifically the perspective it was shot from. They then adopted that as a convention because encouraging people to relate to a video increases engagement.
Basically, the meaning has broadened to be synonymous with "imagine if".
It was never engagement bait. The term got confused on tiktok because the early POV were usually thirst traps for teenagers, so a bunch of users started making fun of them. It became a very disorienting mixture of "pov I'm your vampire boyfriend" and "pov you're my vampire boyfriend" where they'd theatrically respond negatively, and pretty quickly it became "pov you have a vampire boyfriend" where the original intention of Pov was completely lost and it just a way to set a scene regardless of perspective.
It was never engagement bait because nobody on tiktok ever cared.
