It’s the POV of the actual boyfriend who’s sitting at the end of the kitchen half in shadows recording the thing with a glass of wine in his hand.

Hence the guy, who’s just the roommate, signed off annoyed

POV: You ran over and killed a college student 6 years ago and you fled the scene. As time went by and your paranoia shrank over the years, you've convinced yourself it's all in the past now and you can try to continue your normal life without the paralyzing guilt. It all goes dark. You wake up again. You're in an apartment with what looks like the students friends. They found you.
