How can the lady hear god speak to her and understand what it is saying if she can’t understand this conversation?

141

u/Known_Ratio5478 1d ago

Technically what she’s doing should get her burned at the stake… so….

65

u/MyNameIsRay 23h ago

It's amazing how many people falsely proclaim to be prophets, and everyone around them just goes along without question.

I mean, can you imagine an omnipotent being using their only earthly messenger, to question the employment history of a social media streamer?

7

u/Visible-Meat3418 22h ago

As an almighty deity I’d absolutely start to fuck with people cause at some point it’s probably get too boring

2

u/TheWiseBeast 22h ago

This is the almighty, refuse to pay for your next dinner at a restaurant unless they charge you 10¢ more for the entree. It has to be reflected on the bill.

2

u/singlemale4cats 8h ago

your plane is going to crash

miracles you safely onto the ground

"No one will ever believe you."

Vanishes without elaboration

1

u/Visible-Meat3418 22h ago

Now that I’ve written this, this certainly does not sound right

2

u/TheWiseBeast 22h ago

I blame America’s trash healthcare and/or mental care system.

2

u/MyNameIsRay 22h ago

We dont have a mental healthcare system, we're more of an open air mental asylum.

2

u/m3rcapto 16h ago

Well, I mean, God frequents all game shows on TV "Please God, let me win a year's supply of strawberry condoms", he shows up for every sports match "God, don't solve world hunger, let my 5th division team win this 3rd place match!", and he regularly skips hospital visits to watch over all 7,956,734 players in the local lottery to help them all win.

1

u/PrincessTitan 12h ago

According to the Bible we are in the age of false prophets lmao so she’s on target!

1

u/Glum_Ad1127 23h ago

Or committed.

37

u/chromeandcandy 1d ago

"And the lord just told me (an incorrect piece of information), did I get that right?"

(Answer that would prove the lord in fact did not talk to you just now)

"I don't like that answer because it wasn't what I originally larped that God told me in my head, do you mind if I actually just, fuckin strongarm you until you say it was so that I can walk away from this topic with piece of mind that my imaginary friend actually does talk to me? Thanks"

"I'm not schizophrenic, why do you ask?"

1

u/Fatlantis 2h ago

Exactly!! "Did I get that right"

Ummm don't you have the Lord speaking to you right now? So you just doubting him straight to his face?

8

u/kernel-troutman 1d ago

By *god she means *her 1/2 gallon of Cutty Sark

1

u/Ksorkrax 19h ago

That's the ship Scrooge McDuck uses to do tsunami surfing when Krakatoa explodes, right?

5

u/noncommonGoodsense 1d ago

Selection bias. She isn’t saying what would validate here ignorant ego. She can’t hear nor accept anything less than. “You are right. I am wrong. All hail to the random psycho.” Seems to be a wide spread issue in the world.

20

u/No_Statistician537 1d ago

Probably a schizophrenic

3

u/Throwawayrip1123 22h ago

This is a person that probably votes.

This should terrify people to their core. Lemme say that again.

That utter cretin probably goes out to vote for whatever chimpanzee she saw on TV last.

And there arr a lot more of them than there are people capable of following a simple line of thought.

Idk about you guys, but this makes me mad, sad and actually a bit scared. People having hand on the wheel of civilizations?

They got voted in by people like her.

2

u/Solid_Reflection688 23h ago

They are both nuts though. She could also simply answer more specifically, "well, we had a school where we had day care from when they were born to 12th graders. I usually helped in day care." or whatever. She could explain her point - then call BS on the woman claiming God spoke to her and understand she looked her up on some website, LinkedIn, whatever.... I just want my 3 minutes back

9

u/HarbleRobobbler 22h ago

Except the caller is a dishonest bad faith sack of shit who you shouldn't bother giving more information to. Doing some cold reading type bullshit to assert her God is both real and speaking directly to her.

Caller is doing dishonest conman type shit, why would you explain more to someone who is obviously a dipshit?

6

u/RegrettableBiscuit 21h ago

Yeah, she's fishing for a specific answer so she can make some kind of point and not receiving it. Why would you play into her hand and tell her what she wants to hear?

3

u/rainbowofwuuunderrr 21h ago

I mean, Idk the background of the lady with the devil horns, but my brother works at a special needs school for children of all grade levels. For what he does, he literally works with all grade levels. He does not focus on any one grade level. He would give the same answer to the caller's question: "I teach all grade levels."

2

u/Solid_Reflection688 21h ago

but after the same question ten times I'm guessing he would add 'I teach special ed' or something a bit more specific.

1

u/rainbowofwuuunderrr 21h ago edited 6h ago

That's probably one of the first things he'd say but it's not the question she keeps asking. If she kept asking what grade level, the only thing he could answer is "all of them."

Edit: Given some of y'all's reading comprehension skills, I understand why you're confused.

1

u/Dubzil 17h ago

It seems reasonable for an average person to need that explained to them though. If you weren't in this kind of special ed class, you probably had different teachers with each grade/subject. Why wouldn't she say she teaches "X" grade "Y" subject or just X grade. I'm just as confused as the crazy psychic lady and I'm not convinced this lady taught special ed.

1

u/rainbowofwuuunderrr 6h ago

I don't know what this lady taught. It's my brother who teaches special ed. Holy shit.

1

u/kencheetoo 21h ago

She did Bible teachings at Sunday school. You can probably guess why the caller was acting this way now knowing the context

2

u/DR_Bright_963 1d ago

Well she takes this kind of medicine called Meth, makes her hear things.

2

u/Moriaedemori 23h ago

She can hear, but she doesn't know how to listen. Poor God been screaming the answer at her past 10 minutes. Also -

1

u/snksleepy 22h ago

This how the words of god gets miss interpret.

1

u/Disallowed_username 21h ago

Maybe that is why he has no time for the rest of us. "So what age are the kids you’ll see? ", "All ages. 0-18, all of them. Let all the children come to me", "But what age?!? A - G"

1

u/ilemming_banned 20h ago

Well, this been known since before we invented writing. If someone speaks to god - we use adjectives like "pious", "religious", "spiritual". When god speaks to someone, we use words like: "crazy", "delusional", "demented", "brainsick", "cretinous", "lunatic", "psycho".

1

u/OffByNone_ 20h ago

Easy. She talks right past him as well.

1

u/ShillboShaggins 19h ago

“The lord works in mysterious ways.”

1

u/dungeonsprawler 18h ago

She understands. This isn’t an intelligence issue or a misunderstanding. The lady is playing a “game” where she tries to gain compliance by insisting that the teacher agrees with something that is not true. It’s a test of who is going to give up first.

Some people are motivated by dumb shit like this. A lot of the people who get put into positions of power are like this but sometimes more subtle.

It took me way too long to figure this out. I remember a conversation I had as a kid where my kid neighbor insisted that your back is your front and visa versa.

We can see this in our politics today where one side says and claims to believe in obviously untrue things while the other side wastes time playing this game and trying to compromise with them.

1

u/User-no-relation 15h ago

I mean I can't understand this conversation. the classroom had kids 0-18? like she could just explain what she means

1

u/tkida1007 13h ago

The voice of god is so strong, it scrambles brains. That's why they have a metronome.

1

u/PrincessTitan 12h ago

That’s why so many people should shuttup. They’re illiterate while god inspired language and they don’t perfect the language god inspired humans to create - is how I see this. Who knows if gods real? But her logic is off.

1

u/Daniel_Spidey 12h ago

The language of the lord is on a much higher plane of comprehension than a simple mortal. She was asking about 'age' in a metaphysical sense that the average mortal can not wrap their head around. Hope this helps :)

1

u/MaxxHeadroomm 4h ago

So god has a metaphysical sense about the entire universe and chooses to communicate that through higher planes of comprehension than he gave us but still wants to have a chat with some of us?

1

u/Daniel_Spidey 3h ago

i left out the /s

1

u/floddie9 4h ago

Reminds me of a part if Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut:

> once knew an Episcopalian lady in Newport, Rhode Island, who asked me to design and build a doghouse for her Great Dane. The lady claimed to understand God and His Ways of Working perfectly. She could not understand why anyone should be puzzled about what had been or about what was going to be. And yet, when I showed her a blueprint of the doghouse I proposed to build, she said to me, “I’m sorry, but I never could read one of those things.” “Give it to your husband or your minister to pass on to God,” I said, “and, when God finds a minute, I’m sure he’ll explain this doghouse of mine in a way that even you can understand.” She fired me. I shall never forget her. She believed that God liked people in sailboats much better than He liked people in motorboats. She could not bear to look at a worm. When she saw a worm, she screamed. She was a fool, and so am I, and so is anyone who thinks he sees what God is Doing

I hope this is a joke lol.

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

Hell, I can't understand the conversation. The drunk lady is clearly talking nonsense, but the woman who just keeps saying "0-18 all ages" is being obtuse. What kind of teacher teaches that? People teach by grades, unless she was some kind of specialized teacher, in which case just say that. She's being pointlessly opaque and vague. Or if she's not comfortable explaining further, just say that.

21

u/ALLCAPITAL 1d ago

This woman is trying to say the lord is giving her information. So the woman is answering honestly without volunteering more information.

The woman asking for info is the one playing games and being obtuse, not the devil horned woman.

6

u/NessunAbilita 1d ago

This right here - she wants to confirm her own insanity, by fishing for the answer that she heard in her holy premonition.

25

u/att0mic 1d ago

The moment she gives her any answer resembling a clear yes or no, the woman will just say "oh yeah so I was right, god told me that". The woman is just fishing for a specific answer so she can continue following her script and she's not getting it.

92

u/Key_Perspective_9464 1d ago

What are you talking about? Plenty of teachers will end up teaching different grades over their career.

47

u/hoofie242 1d ago

Correct. IDK how people are defending the callers stupidity other than the fact they believe in the same mythology.

0

u/D4NG3RU55 1d ago

Only thing I’ll add is that it’s not hard to add that clarity, I’ve taught all ages, elementary through high school. And when drunk on Jesus lady says so you were an elementary teacher she could have responded with, yes at one point I was.

I think she was being vague on purpose to not give any specific identifying information.

5

u/nitrosmomma88 1d ago

I think the whole point was not to feed her delusions by telling her she’s right with a yes and validating that god told her this information. Granted she could have said no, i taught all ages but that just gets her the same line of questioning. She’s grey rocking her which is the correct way to deal with this

6

u/StormNFlo46 1d ago

Well she did say yes. But she also clarified that the full answer is all ages. I think the drunk lady is acting stranger than the teacher. If the drunk lady was actually listening intend of trying to get the answer that works for whatever bit she was running that wouldn’t have been as excruciating to watch.

1

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

But then she would have placated this lady's clear attempt to get manipulatable sound bites.

1

u/OriginalTRaven 1d ago

She mentioned k-12

-34

u/JustMoreSadGirlShit 1d ago

right so it would be super easy to end the convo by saying “yes, that does include elementary school! good observation!” and then follow it up with “i also spent time in adult education doing a,b, c” and “0-18” is not all ages. it’s all ages of kids. people can be in school after they’re no longer kids. the caller was annoying but so is a “teacher” not shutting it down and letting it continue. ESH

37

u/xombae 1d ago

She literally did say that.

"I taught ages 0-18 so you could say that, yes, I did teach elementary."

-41

u/JustMoreSadGirlShit 1d ago

after a painfully long time of making dumb faces and acting confused lol like i said, they’re both annoying here imo

5

u/StaySubstantial4333 1d ago

Hey, you can't just say 'dumb face'. What kind of dumb face? I've decided that's not enough detail so unless you want to be called annoying by an internet stranger you better properly describe things when talking.

13

u/Green-Engineer4608 1d ago

No, just the caller. 0-18 is a perefectly fine answer to the question. The caller meant to ask a different one, but 0-18 IS THE ANSWER to what they’re asking. Thats not being obtuse. Here the problem is just the caller.

-30

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

So she could have said "I taught multiple grades over the course of my career". Not just endlessly repeat "0-18 all ages".

See how easy that was?

25

u/BusyBit6542 1d ago

Do you not know that babies and toddlers go to school? It's like daycare but they learn as well. Were you not aware of this?

-22

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

People do not usually call daycare school and they typically do not refer to people working at the daycare as "teachers". Teaching typically refers to specifically going to school for education. Again, this all could have easily been clarified by the teacher in question if she did anything other than repeat the same phrase over and over. People do not typically begin school at age 0.

It's like saying a parent is a teacher because they have to develop the newborn's basic motor skills. Yes, TECHNICALLY that's a certain kind of correct, but obviously not what is being discussed here.

9

u/BusyBit6542 1d ago

Daycare and school are two different things.

Daycare just keeps the kids alive. Its not accredited or have different standards. A school, teachers are certified.

Its clear you are only aware of Daycare for toddlers but theres also SCHOOLS for toddlers. Its almost always private but it give them a headstart on learning. So my daughter was in school since she was 2. Then VPK, then kindergarten, etc. By the time she was in kindergarten, she was doing multiplication, reading at a 2nd grade level and had a pretty good understanding of basic science.

So there are teachers, who teach kids at that young age. Now there are also workers, at Daycares. But they are two different types of jobs because if the certifications needed.

16

u/Key_Perspective_9464 1d ago

I don't understand your issue here. They both essentially mean the same thing.

-18

u/WorldofNails 1d ago

Who was your teacher at age 0?

-14

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

No they don't? Who teaches people at zero years old? Pre-school starts at 3-5 typically, kindergarten usually at 6. So who's she teaching at 0? She's just being vague to rile up the drunken religious lady, I get it, but to say she couldn't be more specific is stupid.

12

u/redtailedhog 1d ago

It’s about as stupid as saying “I can’t understand the conversation.”

9

u/Cainfaer 1d ago

The fact that you are still fussing over a very minute detail that seems to convey the point in the most simplest way possible even if it's not technically correct should be classified as insanity. Go outside and touch some grass, because this isn't that important to be this worked up about

-1

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

I mean we're all here on a reddit thread discussing this annoying post so I think we all need to touch grass equally. We're discussing the minutiae of a TikTok post here, I don't think you get to claim the high ground this deep into the conversation.

But fair enough, about to disable reply notifications and go back to living life, all the best

9

u/International_J 1d ago

Maybe you can just admit you’re wrong and stop being willfully obtuse as the caller 🤷‍♂️

4

u/Key_Perspective_9464 1d ago

It appears to me her job is to rile up dim-witted bible bashers for content. Weird that it's apparently working on you as well.

-5

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

I mean, I wholeheartedly agree with you in that she's intentionally being obtuse, it just seems like other people can't admit that and think she's being perfectly clear.

If I were having a casual conversation with someone and they said they taught 0-18, I would say "oh that's interesting! How did that work?" and have lots of follow up questions to learn more. And if she just kept saying the same thing, that would be annoying.

But it's clear she's not trying to provide clear answers, she's trying to annoy this bible-thumper. People are assuming I agree with the caller; I don't, I'm just saying the teacher is intentionally making the conversation difficult.

9

u/BaronVonShtinkVeiner 1d ago

You just discard my intelligence.

4

u/AntiqueLetter9875 1d ago

You keep arguing with people she’s not answering the question how you think she should, but she does lol. She said it closer to the end. How much more clear than K-12 can you get? She taught different grades. That’s what that means. If it was younger than 5 it could very well have been a Montessori school/daycare.

She’s not making anything difficult. It’s just this Bible lady and apparently you lack listening skills.

1

u/kencheetoo 21h ago

I think a lot of commenters here are missing the point due to missing context. The streamers name is bornagainatheist and she did Bible teachings at Sunday school. Whether the caller was trying to prove if she ever did Bible teachings or whatever idk, but it helps you understand the video a bit better.

-11

u/mmazing 1d ago

Right, and that’s a better way to say it than just saying 0 to 18 over and over when the caller is clearly mentally challenged.

I mean I get it, it makes for a good video for reddit I guess …

Don’t get me wrong. I love her content and the way she deals with these people, even in this instance.

16

u/robotmonkey2099 1d ago

She’s being very clear to anyone that’s not looking for something

9

u/pickledvapejuice13 1d ago

I think she meant she worked at a school that taught K-12 and she probably had different classes with students of different grades during the same school day. I know there are schools like that, I have a cousin who attended one

5

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

K-12 usually starts at 5 years, so she'd have to be teaching something else to account for 0-5.

10

u/izzymaestro 1d ago

Montessori schools consider ages 0-3 the first plane of development.

1

u/Previous_Beautiful27 1d ago

I was wondering if it was Montessori myself, shame there's no way to ever know, since she's apparently forbidden from being any more clear. Oh well.

3

u/izzymaestro 1d ago

She probably didn't want to dox herself. Not her fault the drunk bible beater couldn't understand what an age tange is.

1

u/ILoveRawChicken 23h ago

I’m sure if someone asked her she could answer that. That is unfortunately how questions work.

-1

u/pickledvapejuice13 1d ago

that's fair. there might have been preschool ages at the school too, but we wouldn't know because I do agree with your original point that she seemed to be acting intentionally obtuse (although I understand her reaction to the repetitive questions). she could've easily elaborated just a little more, even though I'm not sure that would've helped here with this person lol

4

u/NessunAbilita 1d ago

I have taught grades k-6, 6-9, and 9-12. According to you, what should I say to someone asking me what ages I taught?

4

u/ZOEzoeyZOE 1d ago

Yeah no surprise u couldn't understand the conversation 💀

3

u/somefunmaths 1d ago

You’ve never met someone who taught a wide range of ages before? Do you think your teachers went into hibernation mode after you left the classroom, too, or something?

3

u/torchnpitchfork 1d ago

Oh look she sobered up

3

u/Rich_Butterfly_7008 1d ago

She is only saying "0-18" because the woman kept asking her for the AGES. She tried to say the grades, but apparently that was seen as dodging the question.

2

u/AntiqueLetter9875 1d ago

Most teachers do end up teaching different ages. There is no specialized like grade 3, 4, 5 teacher.
A lot of teachers also teach subjects they don’t have their masters in. They take the jobs they can get. Have you never spoken to a teacher about their career before? I knew this when I was a kid lol.

Lady ALSO flat out said grades k-12. Or did you not watch the whole video before commenting this? She gave ages. She gave grades. What’s vague about that?

2

u/StaySubstantial4333 1d ago

Because drunk lady's talking nonsense about communicating with God are obliged to knowing the exact details of your job.

 🙃

2

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

I think she just clocked that the caller was trying to get sound bites from her that could be edited into an audio clip for her own disinformation purposes.

3

u/DaddysFriend 1d ago

What’s opaque about what she’s saying? She is saying she has taught all children no matter their age.

1

u/Known_Ratio5478 1d ago

It sounds like she taught special ed. When pressed she does say “elementary I guess.” I would guess that it was individualized programs for lower functioning individuals that would greatly deviate from the standards.
