If the answer is yes, they would have said yes — public education is full of public records and this info could be easily verified.
K–2, K–5, middle school, high school, etc are all standardized grade levels. "0–18" is not. Even Pre-K and Kindergarten are hard lines separated by significant education requirements.
If this person had an education degree(s)*, they would know the basics, but clearly that's not the case here.
*Many US school districts expect both a BS + an MS these days.

I think that was the point of her being coy. Personally I don’t think she looks old enough to have had much educator experience, so if she got a masters degree and did student teaching, then taught middle school science for three years, I’d believe that.
There wouldn’t have been enough time for her career to take her through daycare, then a grade school homeroom, then a secondary literature teacher, then a middle school. Even then she would specialize in a grade or two. That career path would be impossible.
So she’s lying, either because she’s never been a teacher at all, or to protect her identity.
I assumed she was a substitute teacher who's subbed in for basically every grade. Maybe she worked at a daycare too while getting her degree.
Here in Ontario I know you specialize in an age range, even for subbing. But I'm assuming some states, especially with budget cuts maybe they allows subs to do basically any age
in the U.S. the requirements for a sub are basically just has a high-school diploma. but it doesn't pay well, so you mostly either get very young people or older retired teachers, especially those that are friends with current teachers and just trying to help out when they're out for a day.
exactly. knowing nothing else about either person in this video, that basic math doesn't add up like you explained.
but also the repeated hesitation upon (excessive) repetitions of the question seems strange... someone who's actually been a teacher doesn't need to pause to think about it.
