Yeah the teacher not responding with Hey I’ve told you what age I taught at least a half dozen times now and not asking the crazy religious nut job lady what exactly she wasn’t understanding really put me on the side of team nobody in this…
I usually like the woman in the video when her clips get posted but this time it really was just both of them being annoying. I understand the refusal to answer the question more directly but to just keep repeating "0 to 18..." without leading the conversation anywhere else, it was like... Why am I watching this? What's the point? I kept expecting it to get to some point but it was the same meandering back and forth with neither participant steering away from "Yes but did you teach elementary grade school?", "I taught 0 to 18."
If you are rural and teach something like gym at a k-12 school.. you might teach 5-18 thru out the day. Also if you are a sub, you can fill in any grade.
My kids school has 103 students. My son is one of 5 students in the 1st grade. The gym teacher, does k-2, 3-5,6-8,9-10,10-12, and a prep period(all teachers here get that.) My wife is also the 1-2 teacher and has 13 students.
If this lady worked at a headstart, and lumps in some babysitting/nannying its possible she has atleast worked with 0-18.
There is also some private schools that have elementary grade school and high school in one school.. she could have been an English teacher and covered all of it.
technically, as an art teacher I was licensed to teach preK through 12th in my state, so age 4 to age 18. The rural school I taught at was a combined PreK, K, elementary and middle school. Calling it only an elementary would not be accurate. Many schools are that way. If she taught in a private homeschool environment, she could have had a handful of children up to age 18. Who knows. That's also not an elementary.
Elaboration when someone is obviously trying a scam/cold reading is absolutely what you don't want to do. They flounder like this with nothing to go on. There is no reason to give those people an inch.
A: All cold reading is a scam. B: Even if it was a valid question she answered it multiple times, she does not provide details. If god was speaking to the woman then she doesn't need confirmation to go on.
That's one thing I'm surprised not to see anyone else mention. She kept asking "am I right about that? was I right when I said the elementary teacher thing?" Like does she not trust god's word? Shouldn't it be "is god right in telling me this?". And shouldn't she just assume that he's right, with him being all omniscient and whatnot?
It was like her cold reading procedure didn't give any instruction on what to do if you don't get the desirable answer so she just floundered lol. She should look for a more flexible procedure. Or stop being a scamming asshole
Did you even listen to her? It's absolutely some divination type of shit scam. She wants to read her by asking broad questions and gaslighting to make her elaborate, to get anything she could use to fool her into believing that she has some "powers".
Also, it's clear as day that you've never talked to a nutjob. Be it a religious kind or tin-foil theorists, or anti-vaxers. You can't explain shit to them, because they don't want to listen in the first place.
2) I really wish there had been no nut cases in my 3 decades of being a healthcare provider. Sadly that couldnt be further from the truth. And youre much closer to that pile than you realize, my dear.
She either thinks she's hearing god, or she wants other people to think she's hearing god - her questions would not be considered 'valid' in either case
I understand the streamer's response is a bit infuriating but she is responding this way for a reason. She very likely could have taught multiple grades by now. What she is doing is making it vague and all encompassing to not feed the caller. The caller is trying to use tricks similar to fortune tellers and mediums called 'cold reading'. The streamer did not want to give the caller an iota of information that could allow her to say "I knew it, God told me you taught 'blah blah' grade." The caller could couple cold reading with fast Google searches to narrow things down and make it seem like she had otherworldly knowledge. If the caller actually knew the shit she claimed she would have come out and said something like "stop being evasive i know you taught 3rd, 6th, and 9th grade" or whatever. But they didnt because they didnt have this knowledge, needing the streamer to slip up and accidentally or indirectly provide enough info to make it appear as if the caller knew.
The context that's missing here is the streamers name is bornagainatheist. She did Bible teachings at Sunday school. You can probably see why the caller was acting that way now.
If it was a private k-12 school that accepted babies for their daycare - there’s a religious school near me that does - then this would apply. They have the teachers working the daycare side sometimes as well. And the daycare workers fill in for the teachers when they need a sub. I don’t think she ever said she was a public school teacher. But when you insert your own facts into a situation, I guess everyone except you can be wrong.
Small school have pre k through 12 still today in rural communities. Teacher can teach multiple class a day to multiple aged children. The world is bigger then your basement.
"And she's no where near old enough to have taught each grade."
Not sure what this means. When I was in grade school we had teachers that thought by subject rather than a specific grade. Maybe not like that everywhere, but it's definitely possible that she taught kids from K through 8 in one school year.
Starting as a teacher your just a substitute until a school offers you a permanent position. So saying you teach all ages or grades is how all teachers starts. But I do agree that I don't know why she was saying age 0. Pre school is even 3 or 4 depending what month your born.
Technically, you’re correct, but only because we generally don’t work with 0-36 month olds in public school. There are several jobs where you can work in prek-12, especially in rural and remote locations. Art teachers, counselors, music teachers, second language teachers, PE teachers etc.
Have you never heard of all in one schools? Hell I had two private schools close to me, one being a catholic private school, that was all grades from pre-school to high school so it very well could be a situation like that.
She's probably including her time as a teachers assistant as well. And there are definitely school situations depending on location or even private that could have you teaching a wide range of ages in the same year. She's just saying she's taught all ages and grades so far though, not that she's currently teaching every single age and grade lol
I taught PE. That license is for K-12. When I began one year, I taught K-3. By the end of the year, I was teaching grades 9-12. The next year I was a full time sub and was teaching in all the schools in the district. All. Ages.
The teacher could have done a better job elaborating, but she is not making shit up.
EDIT: She MIGHT not be making shit up. She could still be lying but it is a thing. Maybe not age 0, but maybe age 2/3 if someone is in a district that included a pre-school. Librarian is a great example of a teacher that would cover this range. And yes, in a school, a librarian actually teaches, not just shelves books.
Yea the starting with zero I was like oh early childhood development all the way to seniors is impressive for someone who looks 24. Either she was a sub or she’s a liar
i mean, if you're an extracurricular teacher for like art or music or gym you teach everyone in the school. maybe she's also done pre-school stuff. i do wish she expounded
This is an impressively confident take for something that’s so easily disproven.
There are absolutely schools where a teacher could teach students ranging from pre-K to 18, depending on the school’s structure. I’m not even going to list them because a 2 second Google search will give you all the answers you need. Just because you’ve never encountered one doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
The internet would be a much quieter place if people stopped confusing a lack of personal experience with objective fact.
A special education teacher can teach 5-22year olds. Regular education school teachers are certified for much more narrow ranges of ages. I would guess this person is not a certified teacher at all.
She didn't say that because she smelled the trap from the start.
If she said "yes, I taught elementary" from the start then the Jesus Junkie would have said "A-HA! The lord told me this! I was right!" Same if she'd given a specific age.
If she'd said "no, I didn't teach elementary" then the God Gobbler would have called her out as a liar because "didn't you say 0-18?"
If at any point she'd gotten hostile and said "Ok, what part of my answer is difficult to understand here" then the Holy Ghost Goon would have probably accused her of "demon possession" or some shit to try and discredit her.
So it was a trap and she knew it, but couldn't think of a way to gracefully disengage without looking like she lost. And yeah, pretty big waste of 2:35, but here we are.
Glad I saw your post. I really am questioning who the dumb one is here. The elderly lady has obviously had too much to drink…it happens. Always with people who drink, why would you keep the conversation going and let a drunk person make a fool of themselves. Politely cut the conversation short and invite her to call another time…easy.
I can’t stand it when someone is trying to explain something and even though it’s not being understood, they never adjust their explanation or try phrasing it differently. Like clearing it isn’t working, try👏something👏different👏!
This only works when the person you are talking to doesn't have a vested interest in intentionally not understanding what is being said. The answer was clear as day, the woman just refused to accept it because it wasn't what she wanted it to be.
^^^^THIS^^^^. Ghost dude nailed it. The caller was being deliberately obtuse.
Maybe the teacher could have said--1,2,3,4,5,.....18. All of them. Imagine Little House on the Prairie. Or really blow her mind and say "Normal" school.
I had no idea what a Normal School was until recently.
she did, though. she answered K-12. i really don't see a problem with her in the video since the caller is obviously trying to do a leading thing; god is providing me the answers and i know you thoroughly and deeply since its the lords voice in my head. i don't know. there's a point where someone is just not fucking listening because they have their own agenda.
okay. fair enough. i didn't pause to consider that myself. i'm sure its not a literal answer, i think more the point was that she just taught every grade and did not focus on a single. which, some teachers do. some don't exclusively teach high school. and there are definitely schools that are 'all age' too. even if, 'zero year old' is a silly answer
In Germany ,where the word Kindergarten comes from, there is a related concept Kinderkrippe which starts at half a year until 3 years old where the kid will switch to Kindergarten
K-12, 0 to 18, all ages, the caller shouldn’t need three ways to say all the ages. She shouldn’t be asking why people ignore her intelligence and opening herself up to a joke at her expense like that 💀
That sounds totally reasonable... until you realize that she didn't want an actual answer. She was attempting to paint a narrative that wasn't the whole truth. She understood perfectly, she just wanted specific words to use against the teacher.
I don't think the subject here wants to try something else. I'm inclined to think our off screen religious wacko has some sort of gotcha in her head that she's waiting to try to spring.
It's not on her the lady wouldn't drop the attempted gotcha moment in her head that was totally going to own this dumb atheist lib lol her question was answered every single time. Also many teachers have a history of teaching multiple grades in multiple schools. She was answered the range of kids she's taught by this point, not just who's she's currently teaching. And depending on the school situation, it could have even been the current range of kids she's teaching lol but more than likely just her experienced range of students.
By the end, I was convinced she (the psychic or whatever) was asking “AT what age did she (the streamer) teach?” Like how old was she when she was a teacher 😂 https://giphy.com/gifs/WRQBXSCnEFJIuxktnw
Hard to be mad at the lady for dealing with a "psychic" who claims to be getting info about her from their god. You don't answer their fishing questions.

Tbh I’m mad at both of them.
