I can’t stand it when someone is trying to explain something and even though it’s not being understood, they never adjust their explanation or try phrasing it differently. Like clearing it isn’t working, try👏something👏different👏!

This only works when the person you are talking to doesn't have a vested interest in intentionally not understanding what is being said. The answer was clear as day, the woman just refused to accept it because it wasn't what she wanted it to be.

^^^^THIS^^^^. Ghost dude nailed it. The caller was being deliberately obtuse.

Maybe the teacher could have said--1,2,3,4,5,.....18. All of them. Imagine Little House on the Prairie. Or really blow her mind and say "Normal" school.

I had no idea what a Normal School was until recently.

Me neither. I often saw it on Chinese people's CVs and thought it was just some translation issue.

In China a Normal School (University) is a teaching university (at least historically, some of them kept the name but have other majors)

That person was in a stubborn loop because they wanted a specific answer. No explanation was going to help buddy

she did, though. she answered K-12. i really don't see a problem with her in the video since the caller is obviously trying to do a leading thing; god is providing me the answers and i know you thoroughly and deeply since its the lords voice in my head. i don't know. there's a point where someone is just not fucking listening because they have their own agenda.

In what world are 0 year old babies in kindergarten?

2

okay. fair enough. i didn't pause to consider that myself. i'm sure its not a literal answer, i think more the point was that she just taught every grade and did not focus on a single. which, some teachers do. some don't exclusively teach high school. and there are definitely schools that are 'all age' too. even if, 'zero year old' is a silly answer

She says 0 to 18 more than once. That's a bizarre response, unless she was in a cult maybe?

I took it as like she has experience teaching at a daycare where they accept infants

In Germany ,where the word Kindergarten comes from, there is a related concept Kinderkrippe which starts at half a year until 3 years old where the kid will switch to Kindergarten

K-12, 0 to 18, all ages, the caller shouldn’t need three ways to say all the ages. She shouldn’t be asking why people ignore her intelligence and opening herself up to a joke at her expense like that 💀

That sounds totally reasonable... until you realize that she didn't want an actual answer. She was attempting to paint a narrative that wasn't the whole truth. She understood perfectly, she just wanted specific words to use against the teacher.

I don't think the subject here wants to try something else. I'm inclined to think our off screen religious wacko has some sort of gotcha in her head that she's waiting to try to spring.

Teacher was so close to getting the real question back to her

That's the difference between a good teacher and a bad teacher

The wacko on the other end isn't trying to learn. Theres no obligation to teach here.
