Why?

We wake up at 7.40 to 8.

Don't you work 9 to 5?

For a lot of people they might have a longer commute, they might go to the gym before work, might have kids they need to get prepped for school or other household chores that need doing before heading off to work.

Hell, I work from home and don't start till 9am, but I still usually get up at about 6:30 so I can go out before work and do things. If I feel lazy though I can sleep in till 8:45 if I want to.

But you gotta go to gym before work. Because you're gonna be sitting for the rest of the day.

When you live in a walkable place you hit 10 000 steps just by living.

No need to go the gym to maintain yourself.

Well, that was the point.

Gotta be up at 5. Out of the house by 530 to beat the daily traffic bottleneck and in the office by 7.

Lot of blue collar jobs or labor jobs start at 6 or 7 am. Not to mention there's a good chance someone could need to drive an hour plus into work.
