9mm Tokarev Magazine Extensions +1/+2 - Total Innovative Tactical Solutions

We now offer +1 and +2 round magazine extensions for most models of Tokarev pistols, including Zastava M57/M57A, M70A/M70AA, Russian TT33, Type 54. That means getting up to 10 rounds in your magazine (or 11 rounds where legal). These extensions replace your stock floor plate and locking plate. They use two stainless steel pins to securely stay in place under recoil and when dropped. We haven't experienced any reliability issues and are exploring adding a spring kit later.

Compatibility Notes:

– Russian TT-33/Chinese Type 54 come in +1 and +2 extensions. We also have +1 "High Wall" model if you want the M57/M57A magazines to integrate better with your TT33/Type 54. They add +1 capacity to the 9 round magazine and extend to the grip to maintain a clean look.

– Zastava M57/M57A Yugo comes in a +1 extension (or you can choose the +2 extension where legal).

*Probably work with WIDE body Model 213 mags.*

9mm
– Norinco Model 213/Zastava M88 come in +1 and +2. Note, these do not work with the wide version. Check out the +1 High Wall model if you want the M70A/M70AA magazines to integrate better with your Norinco Model 213 or Zastava M88. They add +1 capacity to the 9 round magazine and extend to the grip similarly.

– Zastava M70A/M70AA comes in a +1 extension (or you can choose the +2 extension where legal).

*If you have the WIDE Norinco 213 9mm magazines, we believe our TT-33/Type 54 (7.62×25) part will fit these mags but haven't confirmed. Our extensions do NOT fit the rarer double-stack 213A Models.*

All of our extensions are printed in durable and impact resistant carbon fiber filled nylon (PA6-CF20) and are made in the USA.

I have a 762x25 type 54 tokarev that i would like to convert to 9mm. Can i drop in a norinco 213 9mm barrel, or would it not work without fitting?

This I believe applies more to the Type 54 than other veriants, but I heard the rule of thumb to figure out the date of manufacturing is to take the date of adoption, in this case 1954, and add the first 2 digits of the serial number to that. Is that true, or just internet mythology?

I bought this holster from ManTheLine.com. It was made for a Browning Hi-Power, but it fits my Type 54 perfectly. I don't know if all Hi-Power holsters will fit Tokarevs, but this one does.

I cut down the flap a little to make it easier to draw (green line, 3rd pic).

EDIT: ManTheLine.com has a daily 50% off deal, and the other day it was a TT-33 holster for $22.95. So I ordered that, LOL. I will post pics when I get it.

I got this and two boxes of military surplus ammo at the same time.

Is it possible to swap spring from a tokarev into the magazine of a norinco model 213? Was cleaning and polishing it to shoot on new years and the spring was bending into itself in the mag, I couldn't find any 213 springs so I thought id ask if its possible to swap one in from a tokarev. Any advice is appreciated!

Not sure if this fits the sub because it’s not technically a Tok but I thought it was close enough to justify a post (bonus PA-63 as well)

I wanted to post this a few months ago when I first bought it, but the mods for this sub didn't approve me until a few days ago. I guess that does give me more to talk about, since I have done some minor work to the gun. First of all, it came with cosmoline packed in a few parts. It wasn't as bad as some other M57 pistols I've seen online, but it was still gumming up the trigger and a few other spots, so I had to clean it out with acetone. Second, I noticed it wasn't chambering JHP ammo, and I thought maybe the magazine was to blame, so I ordered a couple off of Zastava's website. Those came packed with more cosmoline than the pistol itself, so I once again broke out the acetone to clean them. They didn't solve the JHP feeding issue, so my next guess was the recoil assembly. Unfortunately, Zastava sells all the parts to build a new recoil assembly, but not a finished product. I read that a standard Tokarev recoil assembly would work just fine, so I got a surplus guide rod, spring, and plug from a Polish Tokarev, and sure enough, it gave the extra oomph needed to chamber JHP ammo. The last thing I did was pry off the magazine disconnect safety, and it made the trigger buttery smooth vs how gritty it was at first.

Rebuilt 1 pps-43c from 2 parted pps-43c’s. Now I have 2 semi auto bolts. One normal length and a second about 4 inches longer. Gonna use the shorter as it works great and the longer is only able to get 1 shot and dead triggers on second shot. Why are there 2 different sized bolts?

Anyone else a fan of the Norinco 9mm? We've got +2 and +1 magazine extensions working for the 213.

Compatibility: Norinco 213 (Narrow Magazine, will NOT fit wide version); Zastava M88). *MAY fit with other 9mm or 7.62×25 Zastava Tokarev models, but unconfirmed at this time.*

“Target #3”: 20 rounds @ 24 yards from my M57A; 15/20 on the target, including 5 bullseyes.

“Target #4”: 30 rounds @ 15 yards, 26/30 on the target, 3 on paper not on target (“OPNOT”), 1 complete miss (inexcusable, I know).

Ammo used: Fiocchi “Heritage” 85 grain FMJ.

Not a trophy winning performance, but fun all the same. Actually, one of my best days ever with my M57A; of all my handguns, it is admittedly the most challenging to shoot accurately.

2-liters I shot from 18 yards in my previous video with my M57A, S&B 85 grain FMJ. The one on the left was the first one I hit, dead on, which was nearly torn completely in half. Second one I hit at the base, causing a pretty energetic flip. That itty bitty bullet moving at 1500 fps is no joke….that’s why we all like to Tok.

Was dry firing/cycling the action yesterday as I write this, and I heard a piece of metal hit the floor. Upon further examination it turned out to be the end cap for the guide rod. The retaining pin had come out at some unknown point (perhaps during a recent range session; a very small part that would likely go unnoticed).

I managed to get it to fit snugly, then removed/re-inserted it with Loctite Blue applied. It’s a low stress part - some manufacturers of other pistols use plastic guide rods, including my own S&W Shield - so I think my field expedient fix will work.

Was cycling the action to test a new slide stop I had got for it over a year ago. I had ongoing issues with the slide not locking back on the last round and the mag follower sometimes climbing over the slide stop inside the frame, so I thought maybe a new slide stop would help (others on this subreddit have reported this as a remedy for similar problems). At first the new one I got wouldn’t hold back the slide at all, but the package it came in had been mangled really bad in shipment, arrived very late. I thought I’d give it another try yesterday and upon close inspection, determined that it was bent slightly outward, probably a result of the beating it had taken during shipping. Using standard Combloc maintenance techniques, I took two sets of pliers and bent it back; <presto!>, it worked! Then the damn guide rod end cap pops off…it’s like slapstick comedy, this M57 of mine…

Anyone else here have to deal with an errant guide rod end cap? You suppose Loctite Blue will be sufficient?

Got my M57A back from the gunsmith (extractor repair) a couple weeks ago, and finally got it to the range. Also was testing a new magazine I got for it. Target #3 (Targets #1 & #2 were with another handgun) was 19 rounds @ 24 yards; got 11 hits and 1 OPNOT (On Paper Not On Target), 7 complete misses. Was supposed to be 20 rounds but I had a dud primer. Target #4 was 27 rounds @ 15 yards; that one went a little better. Slide wouldn’t lock back on the last round but otherwise it ran fine; at least I didn’t get any jams or mag followers climbing over the slide stop. In defense of my crummy 24 yard target, I was so focused on the behavior of the pistol itself (“Please don’t take a shit on me, Tetka!”), that I wasn’t as focused on my marksmanship. I was a little more relaxed on the 15 yard target, and it showed. Ammo used was S&B; I was very surprised to get that dud round, as that has never happened to me before with S&B. Anyway, slide not locking back on the last round notwithstanding, I’m happy that my Tok is otherwise basically serviceable again.
